Received this for Christmas because I'm always misplacing my keys. Was very excited to save time and energy in locating my keys. What a disappointment! It beeps at WHATEVER loud noise is near it. My children, dog, radio, tv, etc.--ALL regular household noises. However, the couple times I did lose my keys, I whistled (loudly)and it did not beep!! I agree that it is unpredictable and not useful whatsoever.

I got this because I ALWAYS seem to have trouble locating my keys. Unfortunately, after putting it to the test, it did not go off when whistling/yelling for the purpose of finding the keys. However, when my daughter was wailing about something, it went off. When the TV was turned up loud during the football game, it went off. Its totally unpredictable and not useful.
