They don't work! My potatoes & onions became rotten, onions and potatoes got squishy and grew roots. What an unpleasant surprise to stick your hand in a potato sack and come out with a slimy,smelly hand. Same for the onions. Although not as "pretty", at lease I can see what's in the clear bag the store packaged the produce in.
Maybe a mesh holder would be better.

I'm so disappointed in these bags. I put new bags of onions and potatoes in them and stored them in our laundry room, a dark and cool room. It really seems like they sprout a lot faster than when I left them in their plastic bags in the kitchen. I've never had onions rot before, but both times I've used the storage bags, that's just what happened. I was really disappointed to reach for potatoes for dinner last week and find that they were all soft and covered in eyes even though they were only a few weeks old.

It's a great idea, and I love the way they look, but they definitely haven't worked for me.

Although the bags ARE attractive & useful for storage, they don't keep the onions/potatoes from "going south". Maybe it's the humidity, but my root veggies still sprout and get moldy.I've bought the bags 2 times,hoping it was a "user problem." I won't try for the hat-trick.

I don't understand... I put my potatoes in the bag and when I went to use the potatoes, all my potatoes have sprouted and it looked like a potato farm in there... it seems like everyone on the review list loves it but it didn't work for me. If it was just me then I wouldn't really say anything but I purchased three, one for me, my mom and my sister and it happened to all of us. Potatoes are grown in shades and sunlight suppose to be blocked so does the dark bag make any sense to any of you for storing potatoes?
