My house is very small, and this is a lifesaver! Just love it! I use it in my "pantry" (aka-closet). I use it to hold canned goods, cake mixes, a variety of food wraps, pastas, boxes of popcorn and more...you just can't imagine what it can hold! Have had it for about 2 years now, and is just as nice-looking and sturdy as the day I got it. Easy assembly.

The only draw back for me is that the shelves would work themselves out of the slots in teh verticle hangers sometimes. They are a slip fit. Had my first one for 7 years going back for a second.

We have had the same problem with it falling down. We just put some gorilla glue on the black stopper things and now it is secure!! I liked the screw idea too! Love the space it helps create.

I like the idea but it needs alot of help. There is no way for the unit to stay on the door. If used in the pantry, the constant opening/closing of the door helps it slide out of the brackets. This should have been an "over the door" hanging unit.

I looked around for a perfect pantry organizer that was both functional and attractive and I found it but with a flaw. After having the rack for less than a week, I had to make a safety adjustment after it fell on my 6 year old son when he opened the pantry. I drilled in small, sturdy screws in the top part of each pole inbetween the stoppers and the holes for the door hangers (see picture). I also made sure that the rack was screwed to the door so it wouldn't twist. It works great now! With that minor adjustment, my son could have been spared the injury of a falling, heavy pantry rack. For the money I spent, it should have been designed better for safety (only 2 little extra screws needed).

I bought this storage rack for my pantry door to organize all my spices. I am very upset and disappointed in this product. In the picture online, it has multiple jars of oils, spices, etc., displayed on the rack. I only had one plastic jar of olive oil and the rest of my items were just spices in the plastic containers. This product only lasted about a week. The rubber stoppers kept coming off until one day it finally came crashing down. What a complete waste of my organizing time and my money. I do NOT recommend this product to anyone else. I'm also kicking myself for not reading the reviews before I purchased it. Lesson learned.

This inside storage rack is great! VERY big yet it holds a lot. I see no cons with this at all. I think it is very sturdy and can hold a lot of items. I am using it in my pantry for baking items that I do not need on a regular basis, as well as grilling items. Works well in the kitchen but not very stylish for a bathroom at all.

Love the product, but fails miserably in quality! Only had mine for 6 months for my pantry and it fell apart with just normal wear and tear.
Would recommend a complete redesign so it will last, and it is now spread throughout my garage as scrap metal. I'd love a newer sturdy one!

I installed the rack on the bathroom linen closet door. I stacked with shampoo, soap, various toiletries. It seemed great but then one morning I opened the door and everything came crashing down, just like the other reviewers had mentioned. The rubber stops bounced somewhere off. I was very disappointed. No kids to abuse it, just me opening the door when it crashed.

I bought this product so that I could store bathroom toiletries on the back of the door and free up some space under the sink. If it were constructed better, it would be a flawless product. However, the rubber stoppers come off very easily and the entire shelf could crash at any moment. It's still hanging on my bathroom door, but we are VERY conscious of the rubber stoppers when opening and closing the door. Also, you can't store small items near the end of the shelves or they will slip through. I bought plastic ice cube storage bins and put them on the bottom 2 shelves for those little misc. bottles and products that tend to slide around.

I recently purchased the Overdoor Pantry Organizer and after a little rigging I am completely satisfied. After looking over measurements in the magazine I was assured that it would fit in my spot with a few inches to spare. Unfortunately it didn't. It is actually larger than the description, closer to 18" x 56" including the large brackets at the top. My husband had to make new (smaller) brackets to make it fit the space. I took the advice of the other reviews and adhered the bottom bumpers right to the door, so there would be no banging when the door was opened and closed. After all is said and done I have it filled with all of my spices, condiments, etc.... and there is still lots of empty space. I am very happy with my purchase.

Be careful with this one. If you are using pantry items that may be heavy (ie cans) the rubber stoppers at the top can easily slip off and cause the shelves to fall. I'm sure this is much better used in a closet or for small items.

Assembly looked relatively easy. It could haved taken me 15 minutes until I tried to separate the shelves which were "nested" on top of each other..
It literally took another 15 minutes to get them "unstuck!" I burst out laughing... it was
like a scene from Candid Camera??!! Anway, once I was able to free the shelves and finish assembly.. it works great! I would definitely order it again.

The wire shelves in our pantry didn't hold the many jars of baby food level & wouldn't allow stacking - we needed something to organize it all & found this to be PERFECT! The racks keep jars, plastic containers, etc. level, eveything is visible & we can organize fruits, veggies, dinners, puffs, wagon wheels, cereal, formula, etc. all on different racks to find things easily without having to move/drop/rearrange the entire pantry! Everything fits & has a place now :-)

I was looking for a door storage rack that didn't need to be screwed into the door. This hangs over it, and I was so impressed I got one to hang off my "built-in" in my main master bedroom closet to hold "those things" that never seem to have a proper place. The rubber stoppers (that keep the frame from falling off the over-the-door hooks) slide off easily allowing the whole shelf to come off the hooks and fall. Maybe a better, permanent fixture that holds the frame on the hooks would be a better solution.

I have a large pantry and had plenty of storage space, but found myself always having to move things around to get to what I wanted. I used the organizer on the inside of the pantry door to keep all those things that I use every day. NO MORE SEARCHING THROUGH EVERYTHING to find what I need. LOVE IT! Took me about 15 minutes to put it together.

I found the rack to be flimsy. It fell after I had it up behind our pantry door (with everything on it falling down). I had to secure eack rack with plastic ties on both sides and screwed the top to the door. Now it works quite well.

The directions were not too clear, but we managed to figure it out. We are worried that the rod my come out of the over the door hook, so I try to remember to gently open the door. It saves us a TON of space and I can't imaigine what I did without it.

This was my first purchase from Lilian Vernon and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product at the price I paid. I have a small pantry with little cabinet space in the kitchen, so this rack fits nicely on the door. I would recommend friends to shop here and I will definitely be back.

I liked the idea of saving space but the instructions to assemble were not easy to follow. We ended up putting the baskets on backwards and could not remove them to fix them. My husband had to put plastic bands to hold the baskets in place. It bangs against the door and I'm only putting non-breakable items in the baskets because I don't trust it.

I am very happy with this product as it has much needed storage for my small gally style kitchen. It is a great buy for the price. It was easy to assemble and easy for my husband to install. It looks very nice when the door is open. The only drawback is that is does bang against the bottom as the door swings open but with the rubber stoppers on the bottom, it doesn't damage the door at all.

I have been waiting for this product for too long! I wanted to get our DVD collection out of sight and I loved the extra space a unit like this gave to our pantry, but those shelves/baskets are usually just over 5". DVD's are closer to 6". We were able to fit 160 DVDs in their boxes using this item. I couldn't be more pleased!

I bought this item many years ago for additional storage in the pantry room off my kitchen. I hung it on the door,packed it with heavy canned goods. It never waivered and stayed in place. I moved 18 years later and took it with me knowing it would come in handy somewhere. My new kitchen has a large pantry but I needed it to store miscellaneous items such as light bulbs, batteries,small cans of paint,electric cords, various glues,etc. It continues to be useful and maintains it's finsh after using it for 25 years.

This was a great solution to my tiny pantry. Especailly for my spices which were hard to organize and retrieve. The only problem is that it bounces against the door when opening and closing. I used double stick stuff which worked for a while, but then the metal tubing eventually came out of the rubber cap. So maybe need to glue the tube into the cap. I will come up with a solution, But I am very happy with my purchase. Have seen other units at dept stores, but not nearly the quality that this one is.

This was very easy to put together. It can fit a lot of things, and it looks nice in the kitchen. My engineer husband had to modify the product. The brackets at the top hold the shelving. The only thing stopping the shelving from falling are these rubber stops. If the rubber stops slide off, then you will have a mess. So, he had to reinforce the metal part with a screw so if the rubber stop came off, then it would not be able to fit through the hole because of the screw. With the simple modification, I am totally satisfied with this product because it freed up cabinet space and pantry space. A good thing!
