The engraving on this item isn't engraved at all, it is like black paint that scratches off easily. According to the picture, it looked engraved so I'm not sure I would purchase this item again knowing that. It takes away from the item.

I would never recommend this item. I purchased it as a Christmas gift and now am too embarrased by it to give it. Its true that you get what you pay for! I am returning it. It arrived scratched and had areas that looked like scuff marks, or abrassions. When placing the order, the personalization section states that you can enter a person's initials as they usually are, and the company will automatically put them in monogram order/style. This did not happen.

The engraving was ok, but it appeared as though they put a large scratch across the case when engraving. Luckily this item is just being used as a silly stocking stuffer, but I would be embarrased to give this as a gift due to its low quality.
I bought this for my mother last year. She constantly has to carry toothpicks due to a gum surgery. She loves that it is so sleek compared to other holders. The engraving is a tad difficult to see but she knows its there. She loved it!

I bought 2 of these one for my dad who for as long as I can remember carried tooth picks...the other for my husband who didn't even know what it was! when I received them I was sorely disappointed due to the "cheap" look and the "cheap" engraving. When I say the engraving was cheap...I had to wipe off excess black engraving powder before handing it to my dad along with smoothing the edges. I guess that is why the engraving is free. I was embarrassed to give it to him.

I bought one of these for my grandfather and one for my husband as stocking stuffers. They are small and easy to carry, but they aren't good quality. They will certainly do the job of protecting toothpicks though. It isn't really engraved, just stamped, which looks cheap. Also, the metal is easily scratched and dulled, even in the pouch.

Great gift for the toohpick user in your life. You never know when you may be in need of toohpick and one is not available. Never again. Small enough to fit nicely in a purse or your pocket. Engraving is a nice touch.
The first time I ordered the product the monogram was etched on the silver plate. The next time it was like printed on but not as authentic looking or stylish. I wish I had known before I ordered four the second go around. I was disappointed.

I ordered many engraved items and they were all quite nice. They were actually "engraved". This, however, was not. The picture shows an etched engraving, but the actual product was just stamped. It made it look cheap and tacky.

This holder is not engraved even thought this is how it is described. It is hot-stamped. Upon receiving the 2 I ordered as Christmas gifts the bottom of the letters were missing and the entire holder was stratched up.Poor, poor quality! I returned mine.[...]

Needed 18 small gifts for husbands civic group officers. The guys really liked them. Every man needs to keep a toothpick handy. We had them engraved with the lodges initials for Friendship, Love, and Truth (FLT).

This comes with toothpicks that are thin as a hair. It will only hold about two regular toothpicks. No pouch was included. Do not buy this product.

Product doesn't look nearly as nice as the picture. It has many surface scratches and just isn't nicely polished and giftable as the photograph depicts. It also isn't "engraved", but rather the initials are painted on so they will easily come off with extended use.

This is a nice little travel gift for my husband. I think he'll like it but I am a little concerned about its durability and if it will wear by being tossed in a travel bag. Great Stocking Stuffer!

I bought these as gifts for Christams and none were "engraved" as described. They were stamped with black ink and it half of the stamped initials rubbed off when I recieved them.

I bought this as a gift, but after recieving it decided it wasn't the quality I was hoping for. It had scratches and its not really engraved you can actually rub the monogram off.

The "engraving" rubbed off. And I did not get a velvet pouch with the purchace. This is a christmas present, and though it will be used, I was a bit disappointed in the the so called engraving.

The monogram was all scratched up and the bottom of the letters are faded! Never had a problem with LV before this, but I bought this as a gift. It took my husband a while to clean up the scratched surface.
