I ordered this for my daughter for Christmas, and while I'm pleased with the notebooks, I'm disappointed with the pencils. They do not really match the notebooks, and they are not personalized. I don't think that the description of the item is really that clear in stating that the pencils are not personalized. Now I have all these ugly green pencils with no name on them.

My son's name uses the Polish spelling, therefore is rather unique. I thought these would be great for him. However, the description did not mention perforated pages. Though they are very nice, the school does not allow perforated spiral notebok paper. I did not read close enough that the pencils are not personalized. I would rather not have plain pencils. I can get them nearly free at back to school sales. I am glad he has not seen them, because he cannot take them to school.

The notebooks are adorable and look to be well made and durable. However, I was so disappointed that the pencils aren't personalized. I wouldn't say it CLEARLY states that in the description, but I think anyone would assume that the "coordinating" pencils would be personalized. Now I'm stuck with a bunch of plain white pencils...Oh well!

I bought a set for my niece and a set for myself. They are great. Better than I thought they would be. They were a hit at my niece's birthday party. Will probably buy more for myself and for her. Wish they had more options. I got pink/green for myself and leopard/pink for my niece who likes cats. Great product but I do wish the pencils were personalized, but having read the site, I knew they wouldn't be.

I too have girls with uncommon names, so I like to get them personalized items when I can. I included Middle names as well (since it is under 12 characters). I am sure they will be thrilled with them at Christmas, but I probably will not include the pencils since they really don't match well and are not personalized. Agree with others...PENCILS SHOULD MATCH AND ALSO SHOULD BE PERSONALIZED!!!! I purchased 3 - the frog, leopard and monkey. Designs are really cute.

As others have said, I was very disappointed that pencils weren't personalized and that the color green of the pencil is an emerald green and on notebooks, its more lime. They don't match at all... wouldn't purchase this 'set' again.

I bought two of this set for my son. Notebooks are great. However, the whole set should be personalized. The pencils were not personalized. My ten year old son was diappointed and so was I.

He had problems last year with pencils being stolen from his desk. We thought this would be a solution.

I have a 6,10, and 12 year old. I bought each of them their own design set for school. They were so excited. The quality of the notebooks is typical of all designer notebooks you can buy in the stores...but these had their NAMES IN THEM! That was a huge hit. The matching pencils were important to the older girls...everything has to match!

Make sure you realize that only the notebooks are personalized! I (wrongly) assumed the pencils would be as well.
