Comments about Lillian Vernon Activity Mat:
I originally purchased this mat for my oldest niece; it's now on the fourth child in my family. Very sturdy, especially considering its major drawback: it's not machine washable. I really think it should be machine washable, considering its primary use is by infants. That being said, it offers a lot of different fun activities. Some of the pieces detach, but not so many that you will lose play value if you misplace some of them. It's great for entertainment during tummy time and as children are just starting to crawl and explore their worlds. Don't use it for naptime, though: some of the squares squeak.

My oldest son received this item when he was born 12 years ago!! Nice to see LV keeps many of the same items over the years. This isn't the most exciting play mat on the market, but it's compact and travels well. Can also spot clean, or wash in machine on delicate cycle. Cute graphics, has good play value as baby gets older to teach colors, shapes, item names, etc.

I wish I had one when my kids were infants. Very cute, worth the money.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Activity Mat:
I got this as a present, and think it's adorable. The only downside (and it's a BIG downside to me), is that it isn't machine washable. My baby played on it, so it got dirty, and he spit up on it. What new mother has time to handwash a playmat every time it gets dirty? So I decided to throw it in the washing machine. It came out okay, but a few of the designs are starting to wear off as a result.

I bought this to provide some bright colors in an otherwise pastel nursery. It's so cheery, and it encourages lots of curiosity and interaction.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Activity Mat:
I have purchased this for 4 of my grandchildren and with the 5th on the way, I'll be ordering again as soon as I have a name!!! They love it as infants, and even used it as a rug near the crib as they get older. It washes well and was durable, and fun for many, many, months.
