What a great product - just got an SUV and needed something to hold groceries so they don't roll around the back of the vehicle. These are perfect, they hold plenty, fold down to put away - just what I was hoping they'd be.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Collapse-A-Crate(TM):

I ordered these to replace some soft-sided collapsible ones I had. (That were a waste of my money) These are so much easier to set up and break down and better at keeping groceries from sliding to the back of the trunk. While they do seem somewhat flimsy, I haven't had them long enough nor used them enough to determine their sturdiness.

These crates pop up easily and are sturdy. They fit great in the back of the minivan and are soooo useful! I've used them to pack all of our shoes for a driving trip, hold jackets for a day trip, organize packages from a shopping trip and yesterday they were perfect for putting in the mums I bought unexpectedly that would have leaked all over if not for these crates.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Collapse-A-Crate(TM):

This product is great. Can put my groceries in and carry them into the house all at once instead of making several trips. Just be sure to grab by the handles or it can start to collapse. Other than that I would highly recommend them.

Great idea but the ends to not stay snapped while picking the crate up by the handles. Thus the crate wants to collapse.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Collapse-A-Crate(TM):

I wish I had known before that this product was available. It keeps small items that always fall over, like a bag of groceries, in one place. You never have to worry about a gallon of milk falling over on your loaf of bread again. No more gathering items that are all over your trunk that have fallen out of the plastic bags. This product is a must for every car trunk.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Collapse-A-Crate(TM):

These crates are a great invention. I love that they fold down when not in use and they hold a lot of grocery bags and other items. For heavy loads, I use the handles and carry the crates right from trunk to house. One thing to note - be careful when opening up the crates and folding them down. I snapped off some of the plastic on the top of one of the sides and when the crate is closed, it is not attached. I can still use them - the sides snap into place at the bottom when open - but I am more careful now.

Flimsy, but does help with organization
By Soccer mom car ownerVerified Purchaser from San Francisco, CA on 7/25/2007
Pros:
Easy to Use
Cons:
Flimsy
Best Uses:
car trunk
Describe Yourself:
Homeowner
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Lillian Vernon Collapse-A-Crate(TM):

It feels pretty flimsy, so don't expect to actually carry stuff around in it. However, it's very good at keeping your cargo space organized and neat, then folding to something relatively unobtrusive when it's not needed. It's low enough that with items that aren't too tall inside, you can still fold the cargo cover over it.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Collapse-A-Crate(TM):

This product is a great idea but it is really flimsy. It seems that it is pretty durable but because I use it in my trunk and in the office for shoes and bags and such (stationary purposes) and not to carry things to and from. I like that the crates easily fold down when not in use but I wouldn't put anything even slightly heavy in the crate. It does provide a lot of space and has never tipped over but I did expect a little more heavy duty material for the price.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Collapse-A-Crate(TM):

I purchased 2 of these crates in 2001 to keep my grocery bags from rolling all over and spilling items into my car trunk. It was a new car and I wanted to maintain it. In 2007 I purchased another new car..a second car. I ordered the crates again...only to find that the quality has improved. The plastic seems more durable. I took one of the crates from my older car and place it in my new car along with the two new ones I ordered. All three crates fit nicely paralleled in my car trunk. I'm never embarassed to lift my trunk in public. Everying is neatly in place. The best part is that the crates easily fold down for storage...should I need additional space. The price and product are too good to be true.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Collapse-A-Crate(TM):

I had recently bought a car with a hatchback. When bringing home groceries, I was continually having problems with the bags falling over and scattering everything around. These lightweight collapsible crates are the perfect answer. They fold to a small size, pop open easily and accomodate two regular paper grocery bags like a dream. I am currently trying to come up with reasons to buy more of them. The only concern I might have is how much weight they could handle. Haven't challenged them in that department, yet...
