I bought this a few years ago as a gift and it was great. The name was inscribed directly on the bat. Now it comes with this cheap baseball that is supposed to velcro to the bat. The baseball doesn't stay on the bat, and the lettering on the baseball is awful. The letters are off centered and have big spaces between each letter. I wish they hadn't changed the design over the last few years.

I don't usually take time to write reviews, but seeing the relatively low rating of this item, I felt I HAD to. I bought one more than a year ago despite the lower reviews, and I was so glad I did.

This hat rack is great, and I recently wanted to purchase another one, but for awhile they weren't available. And trust me, there's NOTHING out there that's even similar. Believe me, I scoured the internet. So I am thrilled they are selling them again, and I will purchase a second one, because my kid has a lot of hats.

It looks great, and is NOT flimsy. Yes, it protrudes from the wall a bit initially, but some 3M poster hangers did the trick (as also recommended by another reviewer) and now it stays flush. Yes, sometimes more than one hat falls off when you try to take one off. But ALL the wood hat racks that have the same type of little slots do this. You can find other products that will allow you to take off one hat at a time without ever disturbing the others, but they tend to be bigger and/or meant for over-the-door storage, i.e., for adults, and if I got one of those my son couldn't reach most of his hats (he's only 4). And if you have kids you know how they like to do everything themselves...

Bottom line, if your kid has more than a couple of hats, is not big enough to reach items stored higher up on a wall or door, and loves baseball, then you really should buy this adorable cap rack. For the money, it can't be beat.

I love this cap rack, I'm order a 2nd one for my son. I think it's sturdy enough, I believe others are calling it flimsy because it folds in half, making it somewhat unstable when you are putting hats on it. If it bothers you, you can get some 3M poster hangers and put one on the back and stick it to the wall with no damage to the wall and it holds the bottom in place so it's more stable. Definitly not flimsy, wood is very thick. My son loves this hat rack.

I like this and it is very cute. That said, it is not as strong as I would like. I would not quite call it flimsy, but I have one that I purchased for my son a few years back and am now DEBATING whether to get one for my cute little nephew who loves baseball. It DOES buckle in the middle and the fact that the name (on a baseball) VELCROS onto the baseball bat...is not my favorite. I thought it would already be on there. Overall, a cheaper design, good price but definitely the kids like it. I would like to see a sturdier version of it.

Hi again,I'm "Humpty-Dumpty" from the 3-shelves sports shelf review. Another strike out for this item.The item does not hold the caps securely.The item "buckles" in the middle when caps are placed on it.When caps are placed on it,the item is no longer "flush" to the wall and pertrudes from the wall.I'm constantly putting the fallen caps back on the rack-it's very annoying.Also,when you take one cap off,the rest of them fall off.How annoying is that?One day I was so fed up,I left the caps on the floor until I returned home.This rack is definitely a "foul" ball.

I was getting tired of my 2 young sons baseball caps thrown all over the floors or lost. I know this is not expensive, so i wasn't expecting much. I found it holds the caps fine and has accomplished what i wanted, a place to keep them organized. That said, it is not very sturdy and there is no way to keep it flat when it is hung on the wall, so i guess there could be concern of pinching little fingers in the bracket-although has not happened to us. So far so good for us, but if you want a heavy duty hat hanger, this is not the one for you.

I would not recommend this unless you want it for decoration purposes. It doesn't hold hats well.

this is a cute Cap rack but once you put the hats on the rack it doest stay flush to the wall and looks pretty stupid.

Cute but looked better in catalog. The product did not perform as in product description. I got one for each of my twin sons and it was too difficult for them to get their hats to hang on and very flimsy.

My son and I love it. It keeps all his hats in one place, and off the floor. We've got it filled, and everything stays fine. With it filled, we have no problem keeping it flat against the wall.
