Heavy duty sharpener. Haven't had a battery power sharpener hold up as long as this one has!

I received this as a gift and love it! The best feature is the portability. I use it when working at my desk. The kids can then take it to another area of the house for craft time. Easy! It doesn't work as well as the more expensive electric sharpeners; you get about the same results as with a manual sharpener. But, its much quicker and not as messy as the manual kind.

We use this sharpener all the time at home. It works fine as long as you don't jam a pencil in and force the sharpener. It has never let me down. My kids have it in their desks at school and often the teacher will ask if they can use it because the school sharpener (electric or manual)does not work in class.

This works as well as any MANUAL sharpener with dust storage. I opened it, put in the batteries, put a pencil in and all I got was a grinding noise. Yes, there were a couple times the barrels turned, but not enough to even go completely around the pencil once. I'm sure it's too late for me to return this piece of trash. From the looks of all the reviews, it's Russian Roulette on whether or not you get a good one. I had high hopes since this was the first one I found that actually had a larger opening for pre/primary pencils.

Very poor guality, the shavings from the pencil clog the sharpener each time used until it finally sharpened no more. Not worth the time or money.

My 4 year old received this from "Santa" & so far, it works perfectly, which is GREAT, since he has many, many, many pencils to sharpen! In fact, I have to hide it to keep him from constantly asking to sharpen new pencils. How many sharp pencils do we need?? :)

When I bought this it was 1/2 off at the time so I wasn't expecting much for the price, but ended up pleasantly surprised. I have a 5-yr-old who uses the "jumbo" pencils and this sharpens them perfectly. We've had it for about 4 months now and it still works great--especially with all of the new pencils he brings home from school and parties. (Good for colored pencils, too!)

After reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. I sharpened every pencil in the drawer it worked fantastic. It is to be part of a Christmas present, but I wanted one for home and at work so I'm ordering 2 more. I'm very happy with it!

I read the reviews before ordering this item, but was "hoping" to receive a working product. The four pencils we tested in this sharpener did not sharpen. The larger holed sharpener didn't even turn. I should have gone with my instincts and not ordered this item....

I was surprised at how well these worked. I bought 2 one pink and one blue. They work at least as well as our expensive sharpener. I know my kids will love them.

This product does not sharpen well. The bright colors are pretty, but if you like nice sharp points at the end of your pencil this is not the product for you.

Decided to purchase this pencil sharpener because it also sharpens the larger beginner pencils that my younger child still likes to use. It has done a great job and has even survived being dropped to the floor. A good value.

I assume I just received a dud, because the blades do not actually touch the pencil. The motor works and the blades rotate, but the pencil does not sharpen. I even presharpened a pencil to give the blades something to grab and it still did not work. It needs to be returned.

After wasting money on several manual sharpeners I bought this one. I didn't have high hopes because of the price and my bad luck with sharpeners but it really is great. My 4 & 5 year old each have one and they love them! There is now never a dull pencil in the house. These don't chew the wood and leave the lead to break. They sharpen beautifully! Excellent value!

I bought one since we go through so many pencils during the school year. It didn't even sharpen the pencil lead AT ALL - the motor just ran around it!

Tried to sharpen pencil but it would only sharpen one side. It left a thin piece of wood on one side of pencil. Turning the pencil around did not even work.
