My Husband adopted my daughter, so her last name changed. When we gave her these pencils with her new name, she was just mezmerized. We also got her stationary with her new name. She is 9 years old.

I personalized these pencil's with my daughter's name and "2nd birthday" and put them in[...] pencil cases as part of my daughter's party favors. I also bought rubes of fabric paint and personalized the pencil cases. It is a favor that is fun and useful. No wasting your money here!

I have ordered these for about 5 years and have given them as gifts. I agree the sets are not varied enough in colors as past years. Before they would arrive just like the pictures.

Pretty much all yellows and orange (and not in attractive or "pastel" shades). Other than that, I guess they are fine bc they are just pencils so it's not as though they are defective.

My twin grandaughters started first grade this year, with all the children in the class it is great to have personalized pencils, of course the girls enjoy that they have their names on there. They say it makes them special. Really cute idea
I was happy that it came with my favorite colors: pink, purple, blue, and green, but i mostly got yellows and oranges. I only got 2 greens 2 blues 1 purple 1 pink and the rest yellow and orange. Very upset!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered these for my daughter as a surprise for first grade. The teacher requested name labels on everything so these were perfect! While I noticed and was a little disappointed in the odd assortment of colors, my daughter didn't (we try to avoid putting a gender on colors anyway). I will defintely be buying these again for my daughter and my son when he starts school.

These personalized pencils are hard to find. I think that every kid deserves pencils with their name on it. They are also useful for use in fundraisers and classroom incentives, to show school spirit and reward good scholarship or behavior.

This is our second order and my girls ASKED to get more after they used their first batch from two years ago! It makes it easy to keep up with their pencils and personalization always makes them feel special. We buy fewer pencils because they are personalized and they can recover them when they wander off.

My daughter was very excited to have pencils with her name on them! She has an unusual name, and we can never find them on pencils that are already printed. Every kids likes items that are personalized. These are great for school because she always knows which pencil belongs to her.

My kids loved the fact that the pencils were personalized with their first and last names. They were, however, disappointed at the variety of colors we received. The yellow were the most plentiful and look like standard #2 pencils.

I agree with alot of the other comments, the color variety is an issue. That is not the reason that I purchased them though. I purchased them so that she would be able to have a pencil that the other kids would not be so apt to steal, and it seems to be working. Bottom line..... they are worth the $ and it made her happy to go back to school.

Every child needs these. Kerrigan was so excited about the pencils, I will order her and my nieces and nephews a set for their Christmas stockings.
I bought a set of pastels for my daughter, and primary for my son. They loved them. They have different names so the appreciation level was high! They didnt think to look at the colors only that their names were correctly spelled! Perfect

We received between 2 to 3 of each color. All of them were printed correctly on the correct side. My daughter loves them!!!!
Very Cute. My daughter loved the saying that I had put on them. One bad thing is that my daughter is a real girly girl and she only got 1 pink, no yellow, no peach, nohot pink in her pack. 8 of the 12 were green. They should try harder to include all colors.

They look like ordinary pencils - the colors don't look nearly as vibrant as they do in the photo. The text is kind of hard to see and not done well. I ordered 3 sets - two for my nieces and in one of their names, they used the number 1 for an i. Weird. But all in all for the price, you get what you pay for.

MY DAUGHTER LOVES THEM BECAUSE THEY HAVE HER NAME ON THEM. I WAS EXPECTING MORE BRIGHT GIRLISH COLORS BUT GOT MOSTLY BLUES & YELLOWS. MY DAUGHTER ONLY GOT 2 PINKS.

I bought two sets for a back-to-school gift for my nieces. Although the description states, "we choose the colors," it would be nice if the colors were chosen more evenly distributed. Each pack had an abundance of one color and very few of any others, and in both the abundant color was not very girly. I'm sure my nieces will love having their names on the pencils, but I wish there were more pinks and purples.

I have to label all of my girls schools supplies down to every crayon so these pencils save me time and the girls love them.
I think these are great for school. Kids won't get their pencils mixed up, so they have less to argue about. Every little bit helps.

The add for the pencils is misleading it appears that you are buying 12 pencils in several beautiful pastel colors when in fact it is the luck of the draw what colors are sent. My very girlie kindergartener was extremely dissapointed with the 9 light orange, 2 light blue, and 1 mint green pencil that arrived. She doesn't even want to take them to school.

I agree with all the other people who ordered. I ordered two sets, one set for each of my daughters. It appears by the display/picture online that you will recieve two of each of the colors, you don't, so don't expect it - you get 5 of one color, 1 of another, 4 of some other color, etc. My daughters weren't disappointed (these were a surprise)our motto in our home, "you get what you get, and don't be upset." They think the pencils are pretty, ESPECIALLY with their names on them!! The little pencil bag is really cute! My children are pleased.(afterthought) But really, no one said how the colors are distributed for these pencils, it's not in the description. If we ASSUMED there were two of each color really that is our fault.

We have ordered these every year for the past three years. My daughter loves having pencils with her name on them and it makes it easier for her to keep up with them in class. It also keeps other kids from using her pencils which I hope will help prevent the spread of germs. Thanks Lillian Vernon.

The little girl I bought them for can never find anything with her name so she loved them. They sent a lot of one color and one of the pencils was upside down so after two sharpennings her name will be gone.

Ordered for my daughter and she was so excited to have them and has used them everyday at school without any problems! She loves the different colors, I just wish there was a certain percentage of each color

I bought these for my daughter going into kindergarten, when we got them the only colors we received were the pink yellow blue and orange.And the orange pencil was the same color as a #2 you would get anywhere else. My dauhter was like those aren't very pretty, so I took her to buy some different ones. She just wanted a buch of pretty colorful pencils they way small girls do and she and I were both disapointed.
The pencils are great but, some colors are given more than others.

I ordered these pencils with the impression that there were 6 colors in the assortment(2 of each). I received 5 Peach, 4 Blue, 2 Yellow and 1 Pink. I purchased them for 2 people hoping to spit the order. Not possible with the assortment sent. (same thing happened with my order of primary colors.)

My granddaughters love their personalized pencils!! The second grader can't wait to take them to school!!!
I ordered these for my little girl and was disappointed to get mostly blue pencils. I expected a percent of each color to be equal. Not all colors were included in my box, and it was disappointing to have to give her mostly "boy" colors.

Out of the 2 sets I ordered, my daughter who loves pink, only received 1 pink pencil. The pencils did not come in a evenly distributed amount of pastel colors.

My daughter has used these pencils before and having her name on them is a plus. However, she didn't receive all the colors which was a little disappointing for her. Otherwise, great pencils--I even use them.

These are absolutely wonderful pencils. My mother bought them for me when I was a child and I buy them now for my 4 daughters! Extremely wonderful quality. I love that it is one less thing I have to lable when my kids go back to school.

These are so cute and it's nice to have mu daughter's name on her pencils BUT the tips break at least 3-5 times per use so it's constant sharpening. Now I find broken pencils all over the house!
I often give these pencils as gifts for students in my family and they all love it. Their names don't come off with use, which is also great. Pencils are used to the end.

I have ordered hundreds of these pencils--they are fun to give away with your own personalization. The lead is excellent--it sharpens to a nice point and it lasts--perfect for quilting or writing fine work.

The personalized pencils were a perfect accent for use with game booklets at a baby shower. Loved by all!
These pencils, however, came in a pack of assorted pastels. A guest at the baby shower asked if she could purchase personalized pencils in just one color (i.e. lavender). Please let me know if this would be possible. If I remember correctly, the only choices available were the pastels and brighter colors in multi-colored packs.
