Comments about Lillian Vernon Aquarium with Viewing Scope:
We got this aquarium for a single Beta...a move up from a typical fishbowl. It looks nice. Cleaning is fairly easy. Feeding the fish is easy. The drawback is the "viewer". The tank needs a lot of light in order to see anything at all...like a direct lamp or flashlight. The child needs to be higher than the tank in order to look down the viewer. Which means the tank cannot be placed higher than the child's waist, or a step stool is needed. My 8 year old son still likes this, but just as a fish tank. He hasn't utilized the viewer function at all after giving it a few initial tries.

I purchased this product several years ago (5 years to be exact) the product is still working wonderful. Its very easy to clean and not needed that often. I have it sitting in the foyer of my home and everytime a child comes in it catches there eye.
Best Aquarium I have ever purchased for my daughter!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Aquarium with Viewing Scope:
The first day was great! We filled the water in, let it sit for a day, then added the fish. However, since there is no filteration, and no store-bought filters will work with the curvature of the tank, the fish smell became intense after 3 days, and the cleaning is extensive. Paper Background Decoration then got wet (no matter how careful we were) then stuck to the plastic tank, ruining the design. If you don't have any water in it, it should be a great tank for bugs, lizards, etc. But not for the advertised Fish!!
