Comments about Lillian Vernon 18" Dog Covered Hop Ball:

Had I tried to blow this up when I bought it instead of saving it for a later gift, I would have sent it back immediately. I also wish I had read the comments of others because I agree with everything they said. What I thought would be a cute and fun gift for my grandson turned out to be an embarrassment. [...] I still wouldn't recommend it

It is practically impossible to get the dog onto the ball, and once you do it he comes off again too easily. My son ended up not playing with it at all.

The dog cover does not even fit the item. Even if you inflate the ball it still is too small for the item. This toy is junk, unless you just want to use the ball by itself. I would not purchase this item, [...]

Poorly made, dog doesn't stay on ball
By DebraVerified Reviewer from Rochester, NY on 12/27/2007
Pros:
Fun, Interactive
Cons:
Difficult To Assemble, Flimsy, Poor Design
Best Uses:
Physical Activity

Comments about Lillian Vernon 18" Dog Covered Hop Ball:

It is really difficult to get the dog on the ball, then it has no way to stay on (e.g. no elastic or fasteners of any kind) so it fell off after a few bounces. This picture is also deceiving, since the dog only covers about half the ball so it actually looks kind of strange. Then the seams ripped between the head and the back, and then near the tail. My kids loved it and we were all disappointed with the quality and design of this product.

disappointing
By Sarah from Michigan on 12/25/2007
Pros:
Durable, Fun
Cons:
Poor Design, Poor Instructions
Describe Yourself:
Parent of Two or More Children
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon 18" Dog Covered Hop Ball:

Bought this for Chirstmas and was disappointed. Did not come with any inflating instructions, could not put the cover on inflated ball so I deflated it but there was not access to reach hole to reinflate it without cutting a hole in the fabric. The cover stayed on for only 2 mins. of bouncing. Cover only covered less than half of ball and added no additional stability. Just buy a regular hop ball and forget the cover.

poor quality/poorly made
By catshopperVerified Reviewer from illinois on 12/19/2007
Cons:
Poor Design
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon 18" Dog Covered Hop Ball:

Plush dog cover not big enough for ball, ripped while trying to place over ball hop even while semi-inflated. I ordered this and the frog ball hop, the frog one is excellent. And this was more expensive one. Sent back for refund.
