Did not like how the sleaves were not attached. I had to look online just to figure out how the witch goes on. Daughter complians that the sleaves hurt her. The dresses were way too small, she is only 4 and very skinny for her age. We got this as a gift and I am very sad that she paid that much for this set

Comments about Lillian Vernon "Wizard of Oz" Dress-up Trunk:

This product was such a disappointment. The photos make it look like real costumes, yet the costumes themselves are in piece parts. For example, the sleeves for Dorothy's dress are not even connected to the shirt, which isn't connected to the collar. Glinda's dress is the same way. Kids need to be able to pull dress-up clothes off and on easily, this was anything but easy. I am trying to return this item right now, If I can't- its going straight into the trash.

Comments about Lillian Vernon "Wizard of Oz" Dress-up Trunk:

I had seen the costume that came in the box on other sites and thought it looked very cheap and difficult for kids to put together. When I saw the dark haired girls at this site the outfits looked VERY different, nicer than what they really are. Appear that the dresses are all one piece... dorothy is 5 pieces, Glinda 4 or 5 pieces, and witch is too many to count. Very disappointed with order. Way too small - the actually skirt on Dorothy dress can't be longer than 12-14 inches. I said it was "original" because who would think to make a dress with seperate sleeves and collar? And "imaginitive play" because it would take a lot of imagination for kids to use these!

Comments about Lillian Vernon "Wizard of Oz" Dress-up Trunk:

My daughter got this for her 4th birthday. She has a huge imagination and loves to play dress up, whether it be with real clothes or costume clothing. As a Wizard of Oz LOVER, she was tickled to get this set this year. She immediately tried on all 3 sets and usually wears at least 1 article from the set daily...though I never know who she'll decide to be on any given day! The quality is not good enough to actually use as a Halloween costume, but it's fine for around the house dress up. The box was not easy to put together and we ended up tossing it.

Overall, for the price, I think it's worth the money, especially if your child loves dress up and the Wizard of Oz.

Comments about Lillian Vernon "Wizard of Oz" Dress-up Trunk:

We bought this because my daughter is a HUGE Wizard of Oz fan, but I thought the costumes were kind of cheapy. They were definitly small. My daughter is three and the Glinda shirt shows half of her belly!! I had to sew and make some adjustments to the Wicked Witch costume, and Dorothy's shirt is very short, too. She has fun with it now, but this is not something she's going to play with for a long time.

I was so disappointed in the set! The ruby slippers fell apart the second day we had them, and the Glenda costume fell apart not long after. The box is already taped up because it is so flimsy. The hat for the witch's costume was so small that my 2 year-old couldn't wear it and the Glenda crown was so large it fell over my 4 year-old's face!

This is a wonderful costume set. My 3 year old daughter absolutely loves it. She plays with it everyday. My only problem was the ruby red slippers. Within the first 2 hours my daughter was wearing them they broke in half. I recieved a second pair and they did the same thing. Everthing is great, but maybe the shoes need to be a bit more durable for the children. Thanks.

My 4 year old granddaughter loved the Disney dress-ups when she was 2 & 3. While the quality is flimsy, she has fun dressing up in these 3 designs. My trunk was missing the tiara and gloves. Caution: my granddaughter is very slender and the outfits just barely fit her ... the witch's hat didn't even fit my 12-month old granddaughter.

My daughter loves the wizard of oz. She already had a dorothy, but her ruby slippers were too little. I love these!! And she has been on my about getting her the Glinda outfit, so when I saw this for such a good price, I jumped on it. We are giving this to her for her birthday, so I know she will fall in love!!!

Comments about Lillian Vernon "Wizard of Oz" Dress-up Trunk:

a good value given the current popularity of the musical "Wicked" with the Oz theme, able to develope interest in the stories of Oz (encouraging future reading with Mom and Dad) with less scary visuals than the classic MGM movie for preschoolers, alot of fun for a few dollars without having to worry about little ones "ruining" expensive costumes like disney store princesses and less adult help needed to dress or undress because of wide, elastic openings and no buttons or zippers. Children of preschool age enjoy them just as much because of the degree to which they can enter into imaginative play and need for less exact representation of the "real thing"! Let's kids experiment with experience of good and bad feelings. My 3 1/2 year old granddaughter loved the princess dress up set as well.
