This is a really fun game. Like the description says you push the pirate down and it locks in place. Take turns inserting the swords and looking for the right slot which will send the pirate popping up. The winning slot changes each time. This is a really fun and simple game for all my children (ages 2 to 7). I am careful about age appropriate toys but I don't see why children younger than four couldn't play it with adult supervision. It requires little assistance and practically no assembly for play. The whole game is sturdy and is holding up well. I was really suprised how much fun it is. I think the price tag is high unless you can catch it on a sale. And the many sword pieces can go missing if you are not careful. Overall I would recommend!
