Just say NO!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Microphone, Stand, and Light Box:

Our purchase has had all of the problems previously mentioned, but in addition, the battery compartment doors do NOT stay on well. Very dangerous trying to keep track of the 4 Ds that the "amp" requires. Compartment on the mic isn't much better.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Microphone, Stand, and Light Box:

First, I'm good at putting things together. The "instructions" never mention an applause button or the light/speaker box. The mic, upon opening it (though not instructed to) does have a battery compartment, I presume for the applause effect, but no wiring. Nor is there an applause button, and the external light/speaker box lights up but makes no sound. Plugging it into the mic base, or not, has no effect. My 4 year-old daughter is, of course, happy to stand and sing (the mic base speaker works) but the product does not do what it's advertised to. Quite obviously the manufacturer throws this together and relies on few returns.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Microphone, Stand, and Light Box:

Every part of this microphone set has broken. The cords all pulled out, the lights never worked, the foam on the microphone came off almost immediately and the sound was terrible. I have two girls who are not rough on toys, so I was extreamly disappointed.

Don't Waste Your $$$
By Ty's Mom from NYC on 7/8/2007
Cons:
Flimsy, Not well made, Poor Sound Quality
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Microphone, Stand, and Light Box:

This item is not worth your $$. I purchased it for my 4 year old for Xmas 2006. I thought the item was broken since it is advertised as having an applause button and mine didn't work. So I mailed it back and received a new one... which also did not have an applause button. The item is flimsy and not great quality and six months later it does not work. The "pin" connecting the mic to the amplifier has snapped off leaving it unusable.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Microphone, Stand, and Light Box:

The product is sturdy enough, but the description says it has an applause button that it does not. Also the lights are not all that spectacular.
