Comments about Lillian Vernon Holiday Doll Set:

I have been looking at this (and the 2 other similar sets) for quite some time but just now think my daughter is ready for it. Luckily I found this holiday set at my local closeout store for a bargain price. I will not be giving it to my daughter until Christmas but I will you what is obvious just by initial observation.

The set comes in about a 10 inch tall sturdy cardboard travel case. The case itself seems very durable and but the drawer on the inside seems flimsy. I'm not sure how long that will last after pulling in and out repeatedly by young hands.

Inside the travel case in a nice mirror, a hook on top for the clothes hanger to hang, and of course the doll. The doll itself seems a little small at 7-8 inches but I guess I'm just used to seeing the size of Barbie type dolls. Though this doll is more substantial in girth compared to Barbie. What I immediately notice was the eyelids (with lashes) bob up and down. You don't see that often in dolls anymore and I really liked that feature.

Also inside the travel case are several complete holiday outfits: St Pat's, Valentines, Halloween, July 4, etc. There is at least 1 that I don't know which holiday it supposed to belong to (the pink tutu looking one). The outfits seems of average quality. Your child would have to take care while dressing the doll not to pull or yank but I think a child 4-5+ years should be able to understand that. All outfits come with shoes and accessories and are individually bagged in packaging.

I am really looking forward to giving this to my daughter at Christmas and I think she will really enjoy it too. My only warning is this.... LV regular price is way too much for this product. About half that is more appropriate for this product so if you are lucky enough to get it on sale that would be the time to buy it.
