This product is great for developing fine motor skills. I teach first grade and I use it in a center at the beginning of the year. It helps children get the practice they need in a fun way.

Great for teaching motor skills! Downside in my opinion, is that my son cannot put it away by himself.

The lacing shapes are made of sturdy wood and are great for small hands to grasp. I love this set with the cute shapes and vibrabnt colors! The only complaint I have is that you can't store the lacing cards in the box with the strings still in them (laced). In order to get all the cards and strings back in the box together you have to remove all the laces and stack everything "just so."
