As mentioned by previous reviewers, this toy is very noisy, very difficult to wind (for ADULTS!), and it breaks before too long. Save your money and buy something else.

very cute, durable, but very difficult to reel the tape back in. I have a hard time doing it, so it is impossible for my 3 year old to do it. Too bad because other then that I like it.

What a great product. My kids love to measure everything from the refrigerator to the trees outside. Some other review mentioned its size, yet I love its size. It is great for my kids. The only drawback in my part of the country is our cold winter climate. The plastic tape needed a few hours in the warm air to become more flexible. I will be buying more as gifts.

this tape measure was bought as a Christmas present for my daughter who is 3. It broke within 2 hours. You can not wind it up all the way and it is very NOISY.

This was too adorable, i don't feel that it is too heavy, it was sent to my step-son in his Christmas stuff so i didnt get to see him play with it but i feel he will love it

My 4 year old LOVES this tape measure. He measures EVERYTHING with it. My only complaint it is extremely loud when winding up the tape. You could not have this in a house with a sleeping baby. It never occurred to me that this would be a noisy toy, but it is. I think all parents should know this before purchase. I would not have purchased it if I'd heard it first.

The tape measure is huge! It is too big, heavy and difficult for them to hold. My kids are 3 and 1 1/2 and they do not play with it.
