Comments about Lillian Vernon Money-Sorting Bank:

This bank works well for my 8 year old son. If the coins get stuck, it's usually because he's put in more than one coin at a time or the bank is not perfectly level. We just follow the instructions from the box and it works for us. It's not the sturdiest product but then I paid [$] for it. We've more than got our money's worth from it.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Money-Sorting Bank:

My 5 year old children got these as a gift for Christmas. What a nightmare!!! The coins were constantly getting stuck, and then the mechanism would break. Very flimsy!!! The kids were so excited about this gift. It was very disappointing. I think age is irrelevant, poor quality!!!!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Money-Sorting Bank:

I purchased this to use in teaching our son about saving money and sorting coins. Unfortunately, the coins would get caught near the top and would occassionally sort into the wrong slots. Sadly, the gears inside broke within the first 5-7 days of use.

Don't waste your money. I spent [$]on this and it really does not work. The money goes wherever it wants half the time. Very cheap design.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Money-Sorting Bank:

We purchased this for our son to help him learn about saving money and to make it fun at the same time. This bank is poorly made and the gears broke off inside after a week. I took it apart and rebuilt it but that too only lasted a short time.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Money-Sorting Bank:

This doesn't work at all. The coins get stuck in the top section. When they eventually roll down (after a lot of maneuvering), they go into the wrong section. I just got it for my son and he opens the main compartment and puts his coins in directly.

have to be very careful how fast and in which order you put coins in the bank. Coins (pennies, quarters or dimes) always seem to go into Nickle slot
