My daughter uses this to carry things/bring things home from preschool. It's small enough for her to manage, but big enough to fit all we need to put in there in the mornings and afternoons. A bonus is that I have not seen another child with one like it. Sometimes buying from the department stores guarantees that several other kids will have one just like it. Not so with this bag!

I purchased these backpacks for my young, elementary school-age girls. They are still small in size so full-size backpacks just overpower them. But, they needed something big enough to fit books, homework, and 9 x 12 folders. This was perfect. While I may not seek out a diamond stitch, it is timeless. I don't buy stuff with princesses, brats or heroes on them. It's crisp looking with tons of pockets, zippers, pouches, etc. And, from past experience, I will only order items that are embroidered, not screen-printed. I am perfectly satisfied.

I think the bag was cute but it looks a lot biggerin the book. I've normally bought the messenger bag which is more roomy so will go with that one again. For a smaller child with less stuff the bag would be great.

I really am please with Katelynn's backpack,its great roomy and she loves that her name is on it her 3rd grade friends have given her nice compliments. I would recomend it to any parent the straps are perfect for support, its light weight and has plenty of compartments.The only thing I would have liked is the engraved letters should have been larger to see, you need to be really close to her to make out it has her name on it,otherwise it looks like its somesort of brand name from afar, bummer!

This backpack works perfectly for my 2nd grader given that she doesn't have a lot of books. I wouldn't recommend it, though, for kids in junior high and up. The large pocket is a bit shallow for lots of school books. On the other hand, I love all the smaller pockets and pouches for lunch money, drinks, notes, etc.

My daughter was really excited to get this for school. We also got the matching binder and the first thing that she wanted to do when she got it was to put the binder into the backpack. Well...it didn't fit. She tried every direction and it just wouldn't work. How frustrating just 2 days before school starts. Now she needs to get another binder and backpack. This backpack would only fit the SMALLEST of binders. Maybe good for a kindergartener or 1st grader. Very disappointing.
