I have given this cradle ornament to over 50 babies in the last 20 years. I think it is a simple, beautiful, durable keepsake. While it commemorates the birth, it also reappears year after year on the Christmas tree. The silver cradle is less breakable than glass ornaments would be, and I adore being able to have the name and birthdate engraved on it. Please keep this item!

I started buying these in the 1980s because they were such a unique and stylish design, not 'cutesy' or cheap as most Baby's 1st Xmas ornaments are. I'm absolutely distraught that they've been suddenly discontinued with no warning and I'm sure many other still-growing families that have made them a tradition are in the same boat. I have 7 children and the 7th, poor thing, is going to be the only one without a cradle to hang on the tree.

These ornaments are so nice. They have a little weight to them. They come shiny and pretty. Mine had a silver cord and not a red ribbon to hang it on the tree. The only con is that the little ribbon on top of the cradle is flimsy and comes off easily.

The picture doesn't do this ornament justice. It is much prettier than I expected and the quality is great! The engraving was perfect.

Prettier than I thought it would be. The red bow is a little tacky, but they come off easily. Also, I was worried about what the engraving would look like, but my ornaments (I ordered three) were perfect. Would definitely recommend.

Love this ornament! I got one for each of my kids, not only for our tree, but for each set of grandparents and godparents. I also get one as a Christmas gift each year that a friend or relative has a child.

You definitely want to keep this ornament wrapped in paper or, better yet, sealed in a plastic zipper bag to keep out air and moisture so that it doesn't tarnish.

I was happily surprised to see how pretty this ornament was when I opened the box. For the inexpensive price I did not know what I would be getting. It was delicate looking but actually quite sturdy. It shined beautifully and the personalization looked fabulous. The simplicity of the piece is it's charm. VERY happy with it!!!

This is a cute ornament but not very high quality which I should have realized from the price - don't expect something great. It is also difficult to read the engraving. However, even with the cons, I am glad I bought it.
