I was disappointed in the name. It was basically just a black iron on. Not monogrammed or embroidered. Also it was on the pocket part & not at the top of the bag.

My daughter received this for her first birthday. She is now 3 1/2 and this bag still is going strong. She uses it for her dance bag and has for 2 years and we haven't had a problem. I used it as her diaper bag before that and it was just the right size. It is just right for a child aged 1-5, but I wouldn't recommend it for school.

I bought 2 of these for my 2 year old granddaughters and they are adorable. The only thing I didn't like was that I expected them to be stitched monogram and they weren't. It was an ironed on monogram and was a little crooked, but other than that the backpack is perfect for a little one.

In general for the price the back pack is OK. My daughter has only had it for 2 weeks and one of the seams is already pulling apart. She's hardly used the item. I like the size and the style; very appropriate for a preschooler. I'm very disappointed in the personalization. I thougth it would be stitched but it's just appliquéd. Next time I will spend a little more and get a better quality item. This will never hold up for the school year.

My oldest daughter has had this same backpack which is perfect for day trips or as a purse. Her name was embroirdered on hers. I recently purchased the same back pack for my two younger daughters and was disappointed that the name was just stuck on with velvet lettering. Obviously not as durable.

I love the size of this bag, perfect for my 2 year old daughter starting preschool - roomy for a change of clothes/ a few diapers. I am not happy with the personalization. It is like an iron on. There is an inconsistency with how the bags are personalized. I ordered a ballet bag within 2 years of each other, the 1st was embroidered, the 2nd was not. I thought maybe they had changed the way they personalized. However, a friend ordered the same bag after I ordered my 2nd bag and hers was embroidered. I would suggest contacting them personally to see if you can ensure the embroidered personalization.

I bought this for my 2 year old daughter, so that she could take her extra clothes to daycare. It's a perfect size for her and it's very light weight so she's not being weighed down. The only thing that I do not like, is the smell of plastic that will not go away. If she has an accident in daycare and has to be changed, she will smell like plastic for the rest of the day. Besides that, it's perfect. She feels like such a 'Big Girl'... we love it.

This is the cutest little bag. I know several people who have bought this bag for the children & have been very pleased. When the new Lillian & Vernon catalog came in the mail my 4 yr. old picked out this bag and said that was the one she wanted. I purchased this backpack several years back for my son and the name was embroidered on it. Since then several friends have purchased it for their children and the name was also embroidered. So, when my daughter needed a backpack I knew this was the backpack I wanted for her, since it is small enough for her to carry, highly durable and would have her name embroidered on it. To my surprise when I received it in the mail, it is the fuzzy iron-on sticky letters. I was not happy! They look "tacky" and will not peel off, so I could take it and have it embroidered locally. My recommendation is purchase the backpack but do not have it personalized, take it and have it done yourself.

This is the fourth backpack I have ordered; I use this for all of my birthday party gifts. My only complaint this time is the cheap, adhesive monogram. The ones that I have previously ordered have had a monogram that was stiched. If I order any more, I will forgo the LV monogramming and have it done locally.

This is a great backpack! I bought it when my daughter began preschool at 18 months. She was just the right size! It held all her diapers, wipes, etc. without the bulky diaperbag. Now that she's 4, we keep it in the car with extra clothes for accidents.
The material is thick and reliable. I've washed it MANY times and it still looks brand new. My friends loved it so much, 5 of them bought them for their kids!
I agree, though, they used to come in different colors that were more "boy friendly". What happened?

I got this backpack for my 4 year old son, years ago, and he STILL gets a lot of use out of it! We've used it for a day trip diaper bag, taking snacks/lunch to the park or soccer practice in, and he's played with it a ton in between! Ours is very durable and has held up perfectly over the years. He loves that it has his name on it! It's a nice light blue color.At the same time I bought one for my son, I bought one for each of my three nieces, and they are 6, 7 and 9. They still use them alot for everything! They are great!The only con about this product, is that they don't offer them anymore in boy colors. I now have toddler twins, and I really want to get one for them, but need a boy color. [...]

I got my first bag as a gift for my first son, it is black w/ his name! I love it so much I want to get one for my new little boy. For some reason they only have it in girl colors! Where are the primary colors? Boys carry backpacks too! My 2 year old likes to stock it w/ "stuff" if we are going to visit @ a home. Only prob was even before he started using it the shoulder strap has been pulling apart from it at the top a easy fix I hope. I used it as a diaper bag when he was first born since I really didn't need much for him when we went out. So after about 2 months I'd say is when I noticed it pulling apart. Other than those 2 issues I love the practicality of it & that it will be just his size for the next few years!

Both of my daughters have one of these backpacks. They have been great for little ones to carry all their "stuff" around in and the material is very study. We love them.
