I bought this for my nephew for an upcoming beach trip. When he and my mother started to play, we discovered that there is a row missing on the board - there should be two rows between players' checkers - basically you get jumped on your first move. It was still fun to play with, but not a real "to scale" board.

This product is a good idea, but the checker board was not large enough for the checkers. They didn't think this one through; a little more thought (either a larger towel or smaller squares to accomodate the needed squares on the board)or consumer testing and they would've had a great product. We used it anyway but were definitely disappointed.

I purchased two of these. One as a Secret Pal gift another for a summer birthday. I love the idea and they were nicely packaged. Makes a good gift at a great price.

I am very pleased with the checker set, my only comment is that I wish the checkers were weighted so they would not blow away. I have not used it yet, it is for my 6 year old grand daughter for Christmas. I love to bring in a little summer in the winter in NH it always lifts the spirit.

Kids love checkers---they were disappointed that the towel was not an actual checker board, which we thought. The "board" was too small and they couldn't play properly. It was definately NOT jumbo.

My kids love this towel. When they make the kids to get out of the pool for breaks they love playing with their towel. It keeps them entertained for the break and sometimes they even keep playing to finish the game before getting back in the pool.
