I purchased this backpack for my daughter for school. She is in second grade and does not have much in the way of books. The inside compartment is perfect for her lunch box and the few books and folders she does bring home. It is stylish and she loves the fact that her name is on the bag (emboidered and looks great). She told me she loves how comfortable it is to wear and the straps do not hurt her shoulders because they are wide. Some other comments stated that the handle at the top rips. We've had this bag for a few months and have not had any problems with it. Overall, I think this is a great product for it's price and would recommend it, although the inside compartment may be a bit too small for an older child with lots of books. As a matter of fact, another Mom called me to find out where I purchased the backpack because her daughter came home from school wanting one too!

We bought this for our son for Christmas. When we received it in the mail I was very happy with how it looked. It's very stylish and has plenty of pockets. Well, within 5 weeks the top strap (the little one at the very top)was separated from the backpack. I ordered him a replacement thinking it was just a fluke. Well, that is not the case! We have had the new one for maybe 1.5 weeks and that little strap is separated from the backpack again! I'm very disappointed!

i purchased 3 of these for my kids. so far they love them and we have not had any problems. they are nice a roomy to hold their books, sweatshirts ect. then the other pocket they put their games, ipods, etc.. i also purchased the lunch boxes that fit nicely in the back pack or the clips on the side are great for attaching the lunch box on the outside. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! thinking of getting one for myself - i carry enough junk for the kids - and i dont use a diaper bag so i think this would be a nice change with all the pockets and better looking than the usual diaper bag or carry on.

This backpack was perfect for my kindergartener. She loved the design and with her name across the front there is no confusion at the end of the day. There are enough pockets to store and seperate everything she needs and the inside is roomy enough for all her floders, books and lunchkit with room to spare. This was an excellent choice and I highly recommend it.

Five weeks into the school year and the top strap has already came off. The cheap backpack that we bought [...] made it the entire year without anything ripping out. My son is also only in 1st grade so it's not as if he's taking large books home. Mainly he carries a light sweatshirt and his paper folder with his school papers. Not too happy - I will be returning.

I really liked the looks of this back pack when I ordered it for my 3rd garde daughter. She loved it too. My only complaint is that the stitching holding the strap on top, the one to hang it up or hold the back pack with one hand, came loose after only 2 weeks of school. She's in 3rd grade so I think it should have held up much longer, considering she only carries a few folders in it.

My son and I love this book bag! He was so excited when it arrived with his name on it. I am a teacher, so I didn't want a book bag that was too small, but I didn't want one that would swallow him up. This book bag worked out perfectly. It is just the right size for his folder, lunch box and a change of clothes. I'm not sure it would work for the older grades when they have to carry a lot of books, but it's just right for us. I'm hoping he will be able to carry it with him to kindergarten, and plan to buy one for my younger son when it's his turn for preschool.

I bought 2 of these, and unfortunately the main zipper broke on my son's after 7 days of school. Too bad since he loved the style. My daughter's is still OK.

I bought this backpack for both my kindergartener and my 2nd grader and it's perfect for both of them. It has plenty of room but yet it's lightweight. There is plenty of room for everything they need! And they like it even better because it's personalized!

This backpack is ok. I was going to get one from [...] but it was twice as much so I decided to go with this. My son likes the monogramming and it looks nice. He just got it so we'll see how it holds up. The material just doesn't seem that sturdy. Also the backpack he had last year had a clip that buckled across the chest to evenly distribute the load and this one doesn't. It would also be nice if the lunch boxes they sold attatched to the outside of the backpack.

Weak zipper but otherwise great backpack
By JeanneVerified Purchaser from Amherst, NY on 9/5/2007
Pros:
Attractive Design, Comfortable, Great pockets inside, Lightweight, Neat Features, Roomy
Cons:
Little big for small kids
Best Uses:
Books, Great diaper bag
Describe Yourself:
Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Mom, Practical, Stylish
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I borrowed it for a few days before school started and I didn't want to give it back. The zipper is a little flimsy but overall it has a lot of great compartments. Makes a great purse/diaper bag/book bag as long as you're not putting heavy stuff in that would put stress on the zipper. For the money a great bargain.
