I bought this for my daughter when she turned 7. She's always using our flashlights, which I'd prefer to keep ready for emergencies. She likes that it has AM/FM radio and that she has her own flashlight of course. It has a loud siren that often goes off when you're trying to turn off the flashlight and can be very annoying. Otherwise, she seems to really like it.
