I purchased this tri-wheel cart because I live in an upstairs apartment and I needed it to carry groceries and other items up the stairs. I was GREATLY disappointed, however, to discover it only works on "solid" stairs - that is, stairs that have a front wall to each step.
The stairs leading up to my apartment are outside stairs, built with only one "shelf" per step, without a front wall part, which means there is empty space between each step - so the wheels have nothing to push against to make them rotate upwards.
The bottom step and the top step of my stairs DO have this front wall, so the tri-wheels work perfectly on those steps. But it does not work on the other 40 steps.
While I strongly agree this product works on stairs as advertised, and is worth the expensive price tag, I would NOT have spent this much money on it had the description in the catalog stated that it would only work on solid stairs.
I would only recommend this cart to a friend IF they had solid stairs to use it on.

The only way to make this perfect would be if they made the handles adjustable. There are times when longer handles would be great.

After moving from my one floor house to an apartment on the second floor, I realized that I could use some help. I also have to go down a set of steps and around before I go up to the second floor. This product was a Godsend to me.

My elderly dad lives in a condo on the fifth floor, and because of arthritis and hip problems, he struggled to bring in grocercies. With this cart, he's able to manage up to three plastic bags of grocercies in one trip, including a gallon milk jug. He typically doesn't use the liner; he just drops the grocery bags into the cart. The cart folds and unfolds easily, even for someone with arthritis.

This item was smaller than I expected, but well-made. The wheels did rotate as described, but when the cart is used to transport heavy items, it is still clumsy and cumbersome. It would be great to transport lightweight items up a flight of stairs, though.
