Super idea but I would not recommend this because the butter will not stay in the machine. It falls out before you can click it.

I am hoping that I can get my money back - this is a good idea, but just doesn't work!!

I love this! It's simple to use & keeps the butter fresh in the fridg. I've never had a problem with it cutting the butter--the key is that the butter must be cold--you can't let it sit out for long periods of time on the counter or table, the butter will get too soft to cut properly. It's meant to keep in the fridg! I use it every day!

I see that others have a few complaints about the Butter Cutter, but we are very happy with ours. I do admit that it's a bit bulkier than I had anticipated, but it is easy to use, we have no problem inserting new butter sticks or having them lower themselves with each "click". It does put out what I consider to be slightly less than a "pat" of butter, but it has also cut down greatly on our butter usage, a good thing! I do still use a stick when I need larger quantities, but we use this for vegetables either while cooking or just place it on the table (great for corn on the cob!) to use for baked potatoes, toast, pancakes, etc. As for storage, I don't think the butter is any more exposed than it would be in a regular butter dish, and even more so if you have teens in your house that don't even bother to cover the dish anyway.

This product is ingenious. I have wanted something like this for years but did not know they existed.

Does not push the butter down, you have to push manually, has no cover at the bottom so the butter gets refigerator odors.
