Comments about Lillian Vernon Stainless Steel Pet Bowls:

I bought two of these bowls 9 years ago for both my dogs. They have lasted through two washings a day and still look great after all these years. The monogram is still there and clear as day one. Now I have another dog and I'm stocking up! Great price for stainless steel! These make great gifts for dog owners!!

It's a great DOG bowl

Comments about Lillian Vernon Stainless Steel Pet Bowls:

I bought the smaller 16 oz. size pet bowl and it's very attractive and heavyweight. But it was a gift for a cat - the box comes labeled DOG BOWL and I just looked stupid giving it to a cat. Now I own a nice dog bowl engraved with a cat's name.

If I were buying it for a small dog named Walter, it would be great. I did not give the gift.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Stainless Steel Pet Bowls:

We purchased these bowls last year and have used them for our own 2 doggies (80 lb Golden Retrievers), as well as given as gifts for our friends' dogs (Golden Retriever, Chocolate Labrador, Staforshire Terrier). They are great, and with so many dogs, it is easy to recognize that each has their own bowl.

Vey Cheap Looking!
By Gift GiverVerified Reviewer from Cincinnati, OH on 12/12/2007
Cons:
Low Quality
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Stainless Steel Pet Bowls:

The personalization looks very inexpensive and it does not look like it was done professionally. The name is very small and not as dark as I would like, which makes it hard to read. The bowl itself is ok but it does not look as nice as the picture on the internet or catalog.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Stainless Steel Pet Bowls:

I received the bowl a few years ago as a Christmas present. It probably has been my favorite Christmas present in my personal history. It is washed continually in the dishwasher, nothing has popped off, and I am now ordering more for my new puppy. Yes, the rubber can come off and is a piece of cake to put back on...maybe 2 minutes max! A definite must have for all pet lovers on your list!

Nice Bowl, Bad Adhesive
By AmandaVerified Purchaser from Manahawkin, New Jersey on 10/31/2007
Pros:
Durable, Good Value
Cons:
Bad design, Bad Personalization
Best Uses:
Always Hand Wash
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Stainless Steel Pet Bowls:

Durable bowl, but poor design. From looking at the picture, I thought the "design" was embossed. Nope. It's simply glued on, which is why it's important to hand wash. The dishwasher will eventually break down the adhesive and the little bones and paws come right off. Also, the personalization isn't nearly as pronounced as the picture suggests. The name is quite small and difficult to read. Price is fair.

I have had two bowls for over a year for both of my dogs and have had no problems. They are durable and have even lasted through my toddler banging them against the floor.

Pros:
Good Value
Cons:
The rubber gripper
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Stainless Steel Pet Bowls:

I have had this bowl for my german sherpard for years. Looks great just like the first day I got it. The only thing is when you wash it, (by hand) the rubber gripper may come off & can be a little difficult to put back. I suggest not putting it in the dishwasher, the hot water will unglue the design.

Good Value for the Money!
By Wendy from Chicago, IL. on 9/17/2007
Pros:
Good Value
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Stainless Steel Pet Bowls:

I've owned two 28 oz. bowls for over a year and none of the bones or paw prints have come off as mentioned in the other review on this product. Both bowls still look good and have held up well. I wash the food bowl every day and my only complaint is that the rubber rim around the bottom of the bowl sometimes slips off. Other than that, I really like them. So much so that I'm ordering one for my sister's dog.

Attractive but practially useless
By zoohmama from Pensacola, FL on 8/26/2007
Pros:
Durable
Cons:
Bad Value
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Stainless Steel Pet Bowls:

While attractive initially and fine for just feeding, the bones and paw prints pop right off leaving an unsightly mess.
