I love these soap dispensers. Go ahead and get two to get the discounted price, you'll be glad you did. I use a thin soap, Thieves from Young Living, and it's perfect for these. It's kind of expensive but using it with these makes a 32 oz refill bottle last and last and last. Dr. Bronner's would be great also. I haven't tried a thicker soap like some other people because I got them specifically to use with Thieves soap, but I would think if you had trouble the easy solution would be to just add more water or get a thinner soap. The thicker ones are usually thickened by phthalates anyway, which don't add any cleaning power and may be toxic according to some recent research.
I highly recommend these. They look great, save money on soap, and my kids love the foam!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Foaming Soap Pump:
The trick... add more water.
Some people wrote in saying that the soap pump doesn't work, when indeed it does. The trick is when you fill it to the lines recommended, and foam is not disbursed yet (i.e. goopy soap), simply add more water. I think perhaps the measurement lines for the soap and water are a bit skewed, and that could account for why some people do not have it work properly at first.
Also, pump the dispenser a few times to get the foam going and you're set!

Though it is a bit pricey, it is worth it!! I bought one for our main bath. I LOVE the suction cup because the dispenser remains pointed at the sink...no drippy wet hands over the counter. The pump works great. Great foam, no problems at all. Product looks great, easy to clean, easy to refill. I am ordering 2 more for the kitchen and second bath!!

Bought one last month and I'm so impressed I'm back to buy more - one for every sink I use.

I bought 2 and am buying 2 more! I've used Palmolive dishsoap and a generic "spa" liquid hand soap in them and both create a luxurious foam. I'm hooked!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Foaming Soap Pump:
This product's design/form hit the mark in terms of meeting my basic functional needs, aesthetic needs, needs of the environment, and financial needs.Originally looked for a soap dispenser with the following qualties:Clear, rust-proof stainless still pump, and glass. Ultimately, I was sold on this product for 2 reasons: that the Foam Pump reduces "soap usage by up to 90%!" [...] In truth, the manufacturer's packaging insert says the Pump reduces "soap usage up to 70%" (at [@] it says "up to 75%)??? Nonetheless, I LOVE IT, and I'm ordering 2 more for presents. Capacity size according to Lillian Vernon is 4.8 oz. which makes this pump smaller capacity than InterDesign's Forma Soap Dispenser 16-oz., or OXOs Pump Dispenser in Stainless Steel 15-oz. capacity, Teardrop Pump Dispenser by Umbra® 10-oz. capacity. Umbra's Vidrio Soap Pump 14-oz. capacity, and SimpleHumans Precision Soap Pump 10-oz. capacity. Perhaps because this is a Foam Pump and those aren't?Add 3 T. of Dr. Bronner's Peppermint-scented Pure-Castile Soap and fill the bottle 3/4 full of water, and your good to go!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Foaming Soap Pump:
I don't usually take the time to review products, but I'm so thrilled with this one. Only 3 tablespoons of your favorite liquid soap, mix with water (warm water helps speed up the mixing) and VOILA! Great for small kids who have trouble washing liquid soap off their palms. And I'm not tied to store-bought watered-down foam liquid. Now I can buy the expensive natural, non-paraben liquid soaps, make my own foam with this pump, and make the soap really last. I love it!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Foaming Soap Pump:
I was so excited to receive this product. I ordered 2. The pump does NOT turn the soap into foam. It's even hard to get the liquid soap out. I am so disappointed and would not recommend to anyone.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Foaming Soap Pump:
I primarily purchased two foam soap pumps because of its attractive design and sanitary application (no soap sharing). I just received it and gave it a test run with Dial Liquid Soap. So far, it did what it was supposed to do; that is, the soap came out as foam and it was easy to pump. Of course, a more accurate test will be with repeated usage. Oh yes, you didn't have to fully press the pump. Enough foam came out after briefly pressing the pump so I expect that less soap will be used if the kids can resist a lot of foam. I will continue to observe how it functions.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Foaming Soap Pump:
I have purchased 5 of these and so far 3 of them do not work. All of them the pump sticks, you have to pull the pump back up to use them again. I'v used the pre-mix soaps from Dial,Bath & Body Works & they still don't work right. I wished they worked because they look great.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Foaming Soap Pump:
I purchased two of these thinking that they would be cheaper in the long-run than the kid's foaming soap products. However, it doesn't work like them at all. It is difficult to pump for both kids and adults. When you do get soap out, it is just a tiny amount--that is how it saves on soap. Also, the soap doesn't rinse well because it is not foamy. This is all unfortunate because the dispenser looks great and is otherwise well made.
