I absolutely love the look and feel of these runners, i bought two, an 8' and a 12' for my downstairs and upstairs halls, however, i've had them for 3 months and am having a major problem. The backing is leaving a sticky residue on my brand new 3 month old maple hardwood floors! I have been on my hands and knees trying to remove it with Bona, a steam mop, and even soap and water. It doesn't come up and is similar to the sticky residue left over when you peel up an old sticker! I've asked Lillian Vernon to contact the manufacturer to find out how to remove it without damaging my floors, hopefully they will get back to me soon. I won't be using them any longer, it's just not worth it even though i love the look.

Bought this rug for my store, was wonderfully surprised by the quality. Love that it stays put and doesn't slide around. Buying another for home. It's a beautiful rug, the picture doesn't do it justice.
