I debated long and hard before buying this piece for use as a telephone table. I'm glad I did. I use it in the space between two doorways in my living room. My home phone is on top, and we use the angled storage area for mail. The piece is just wide enough to put telephone books in the bottom cabinets, and the somewhat shallow drawer is perfect for pens and notepads. I like that it is tall, so that the phone is not tempting to small children.

EXTREMELY STURDY! SMALLER THAN I PICTURED IT BUT IT IS STILL DEEP ENOUGH TO STORE A LOT OF THINGS INSIDE IT. I PUT MY LAPTOP ON THE TOP SO U CAN PICTURE MORE OR LESS THE SIZE. AND I STILL HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO HAVE A MOUSE ON THE RIGHT AND A NUMBER KEY PAD ON THE LEFT. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE!

Wonderful product! Directions were only pictures, but pretty self-explanatory. Very sturdy when put together! Looks fantastic!! Highly recommend for a great storage solution for a small space. **Perfect for a laptop!

I wanted this secretary for a very long time...it is a great price and is very sturdy. The instructions are not hard, you just have to pay attention to the detail of the pictures. Fits perfect in corners that need something. It holds A LOT of items for a small piece of furniture.

Nice looking, nice finish (for walnut model), but a significant pain to assemble. Will need two people, and beware 1)the pointy staples sealing the parts bags; 2)the pointy little wood screws.
I had to redrill and enlarge some of the pre-drilled holes. The asembly sequence design was not well thoughtout, but once it's together you'll have a sturdy item of some beauty and real practicality. A relative bargain at this price.

I really like my secretary desk. I purchased it for a small space in my hallway, and it fits perfectly. It is not too bulky, but it can hold a lot of items. I keep many items in it, including extra school supplies, phone books, and everyday essentials (scissors, tape, etc.). It looks great also! I am debating the purchase of two more for my kids' rooms.
