Upon downsizing our home we purchased the blue seashells decorator toilet seat which has earned rave reviews from all of our house guests and visitors as well as our son . . .it really livened up our bathroom. That is until the poorly made hinges broke in half in less than 2 years. I have never had a toilet seat break before, we bought it because it was fun! The toilet seat is apparently too heavy for its hinges leaving them broken and sharp. [...] I would not recommend this at all.

We had this toilet seat and enjoyed it. Recently our toilet broke. The plumber said the hinges were broken so he couldn't transfer it on the new toilet. Since the rest of the bathroom decor matches this seat I am buying a new one. It's very good looking and perfect for our beach home but, fingers crossed, I hope it survives when our home becomes a vacation rental.

The product is beautiful, and when I got it, I spent a lot of time enjoying it. It is very comfortable. I had never spent this much on a toilet seat, and was a little skeptical. After 5 months it started getting loose, then the hinges broke. Now my wife and I are average size, so the fact that it broke was somewhat surprising. Lightweight people probably would not have this issue so soon. Davina of LV customer service was very cooperative, and LV stood behind the product and are sending me a replacement. It is hard to let go of such a wonderful item, so I opted for this. we will be a lot more careful this time around, and hopefully that translates into a longer lifespan. LV still rocks; they handled this well.

I love this toilet seat! It really adds that little extra to the bathroom. However one HUGE problem I have with it is that I've only had it for one year and the hinges have already broken. I have been to [@]and none of them sell the kind this toilet needs. I tried to contact the company to see if they sell replacement parts but according to them they dont sell parts for "things like that" So basically I spent [$] dollars on a toilet seat only to be able to use it for one year. Beautiful seat poor quality :o(

Okay, I purchased this seat inspite of some of its negative reviews. We just moved into a new home, and I had decorated the kids bathroom in an ocean theme. My husband installed it, and although he liked it too, he did say, "this isn't going to last", because of the poor quality of hinges, but I just loved it, and thought oh well, we can replace the hinges down the line. Everyone loved the bathroom, and of course, complemented on the cool seat. Sure enough the hinges went, after about only two months!, (and honestly my kids aren't rough and tough with things). I was so disappointed it didn't last longer, so there we went to HD to replace the hinges, and it turned out to be a bust. The hinges didn't fit the design, and also my husband said, the cover wasn't designed to fit an elongated toilet, even though the description states oval. Thus, I was disappointed. So there's my saga. If you have an elongated toilet, don't even bother.. Too bad, because other than the hinges, I felt the design was attractive and the seat itself of a good quality.

I would Love to buy this seat for our beach cottage and probably will... I answered the questions with common sense answers, as I do not own one yet... All of the reviews seem to be geared towards a Leopard Toilet Seat not the sea themed ones that are for sale at this time... I also wanted to say that when you have 5 boys and a husband if the seat were "white" when up I would be more than happy to see to closed and never see the inside of the cover! Any feedback about the Sea Themed Seats would be much appreciated!

River stones look nothing like photo add. All white with some grey. Everyone thinks they are shells. Bolt holding seat on broke in one month, odd size cannot replace it. Wanted to return it at first site but too much trouble. VERY disapointed.

Purchased for main bath. Looks beautiful, and gets lots of positive comments as long as we keep the tour moving. Only after someone actually uses the bathroom, do they comment on how thrifty we are to find a knock off of the designer seat. The stones are flat and only painted on one side. No effort was made to possibly attempt an optical illusion. Overall I'm happy with the product. "You get what you pay for" I would recommend this to a friend if they were looking for this type of "fix"

I was more than a little disappointed when I put this on my toilet. When the seat cover is lifted the back side of it is white. The other thing I didn't like is the seat itself is much larger than the cover and looks a bit awkward.

This seat is much better than some I've seen for ridiculously higher prices elsewhere! It's very substantial, cleverly designed, easy to install, and easy to clean! And I can't believe the compliments - everyone comments on it. Never thought I'd hear people talking about my toilet . . .
