The quality of this product is excellent. I just wish that I had read its deminstrations more closely because when I saw the size of the box, I knew that it wasn't what I had expected. In the photo shown, and the comments that I read, I assumed that it was much larger than I expected. But, I must admit, that the quality and the engraving were excellent. It was just very tiny!

I was very pleased with this item when I received it! I bought it as a 30th anniversary gift for our friends' patio. It's on the smaller side, but not too small. The engraving appears to be painted on and not those stick-on letters, which was nice to see. My only suggestion would be to include assembly instructions in the box, as it was a little confusing. I am fairly handy, but my husband had to help me figure out how to put it together. Lillian Vernon should also include a longer screw in which to hang the bell - because the bell is quite heavy and the enclosed screw was very short. Other than that, it was perfect ... and I am very picky! :) This is a GREAT gift idea for weddings, anniversaries, etc.

I bought my brass bell almost 9 years ago. Now I am selling my home and moving to another. After years of weather, I can't unscrew the screws so I guess I will have to leave it here. I love the way it has weathered and wish I could take it with me. But I'll leave it for the new owners (even though it has our last name on it) and hope they enjoy it as much as I have. And I will buy another one.

This item has been around for years! I bought mine over 8 years ago. It has worn well. Maybe it isn't as shiny as it once was, but it still looks great! It used to call my children home. After my daughter's death, it was silenced, but still rings at dinnertime, when we have our yearly party honoring the special people who saw us through our grief. Wonderful, meaningful bell!

The bell appears well made and even though I had the measurements it seems smaller than I would like. If the bell were bigger the ringer would work better too. Hopefully the "engraving" will last. Still very pretty.

This bell is very nice. At first I thought it a bit small, but I have had it up for a month or two now and have grown to appreciate that it is not bigger. I think it would be overpowering if it were larger. Nice craftsmanship.

It is lovely, but it is really a lot smaller than I imagined, even though I had the measurements. The 'engraving' will probably wear off too, but that is not a train smash. I love it otherwise, just wish it was a bit bigger.

Although it is very nice, the bell is too small. The chain and ringer hang well down. If the bell were twice the length it currently is, it would be perfect.

The photo made it look like it was big. Although it is nice, I probably wouldn't have purchased it if I had realized just how small it was. In the future, I hope you place a person by products like this to show scale.
