Comments about Lillian Vernon Animal Croquet Set:
My 3 year old loves animals and this set is super cute BUT.....I have a few gripes. First, it is way too difficult for a child of his age to use--or even a child of 4 or 5 probably. The holes are way too small. Second, the characters do not stay up, the fall over in the grass with a light breeze. While this is adorable, you certainly are not going to get use out of it; I'm letting him bring the animals in the house and use them as toys. For the money it is not well made AT ALL and not age appropriate.
Comments about Lillian Vernon Animal Croquet Set:
[...]Can only be played on a hard surface and too flimsy for that. The least amount of breeze will topple the pieces. Cute animal wickets, but a completely useless game. Don't waste your money.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Animal Croquet Set:
I have not actually seen the croquet set. I ordered it for my nephew and had it shipped direct to him. He sounded like he loved it and my sister-in-law said it was a cute and great gift. It looked like a nice gift, but after reading the reviews it doesn't sound very sturdy. So I can't give a first hand comment. I thought the personalized storage bag would be cute. It looks like a great toy and my nephew loved it, but if it is flimsy versus the sturdy wood it appears to be, then it would be way over priced.

cute gift for my granddaughter - actually she used it yesterday and seemed to enjoy it. however, it's not well made; the pieces are flimsy and one of the animal heads was off in the box. Too pricey for the quality, but cute.

The animal pieces included in this game are so cute! The personalized bag provides great storage, too. However, the animals fall over too easily... they need heavier bases. Plus, 2 of the heads fell off during the first time my 4 year old played with it.
If you want something decorative and totally useless, buy this game!

after one week of play the animals fell apart and I had to use Elmer's glue to put the heads back on
