Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

My son LOVED this until the bunge broke. Call Lillian Vernon right after receiving it and ask for a replacement cord. They do not give out replacement cords after 90 days from purchase. I need my third bunge cord and they won't even sell it to me. Hopefully, [...] has a bunge cord we could use. Cathy at Customer Service was not helpful at all.

Lillian Vernon Response: Please note there is a replacement bungee for sale with this product.

Was great for about 2 yrs until cord snapped in two places from normal wear and tear. The rest of the trampoline is in great condition. I would love to get a replacement part but LV could not supply. I wish they would work with the manufacterer and get the cord. I will look into different kid's trampoline that are in the market. I would strongly recommend that others do the same and not buy this one.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

Pros: My daughter has had this trampoline for 3 years indoors and it's still in perfect condition. Every kid that comes over loves it and now her 1 year old brother loves it! It has to be the most used toy in the playroom.

Cons: It was difficult to assemble but not impossible. It just takes a little trial and error. Ours came with the foam handle grips about 2 inches apart exposing the bar and push button and it always scared me that a child could hit their mouth or teeth on it while jumping. So I wrapped a sock around the area to pad it. There are no pads for the bars around the bottom frame of the trampoline. No one has hurt themselves yet, but it's always been a concern that someone could fall and whack their head/face on it. I have never known a trampoline not to have pads around the frame.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

We bought this trampoline last year for Christmas when my kids were 21 months and almost 4 years old. We have kept it easily accessible inside and they literally have used this almost every day. Their friends always use it when they come over too. The assembly isn't terribly difficult, but don't try to do it late on Christmas eve. My husband & I assembled it together to make sure it was done right. I think the product will last longer and remain sturdy if you get the cable tightly secured when you assemble it; watch the diagram closely. Bigger kids do make the trampoline jump off the ground a bit and you don't want more than one child on it at a time. It has provided hours of fun; we love it!

We have a one-person-at-a-time rule and the mat and bungee cord are in great shape. It was tough to put together, but with patience and two sets of hands, we managed.

I bought the product when my daughter was about 3 and she is now 5.5 and 37lbs.
Both she and her friends have gotten a great deal of use out of it! I see a bunch of reviews indicating problems with the bungee cords but many of them left the product outside! Why would you leave a toy like this outside subject to all the elements and then expect it to wear like kryptonite! Now, my daughter did not use it constantly, I only have ONE child so the demand on it was not what it could have been. If you have alot of users, store it indoors and avoid extreme temperatures. I did add pipe insulation on mine when my daughter was smaller as I was concerned about her face hitting the bar.. the sponge covering that comes with the product, does not add any protection. Thankfully she never hit the bar covered or not! I would definitely recommend this toy!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

My daughter got this trampoline from her grandparents as an early birthday present. She is 3 years old and 39 pounds, well within the guidelines. She had it for 2-3 months and the cord just snapped in three places! I have never seen a trampoline that is supported with a single bungee cord, but not wanting to hurt her grandparents feelings we let her play with it and my daughter absolutely loved it! She was in tears and completely distraught when my husband and I had to take it away because it broke.

Service & Delivery comments:

While the customer service lady was friendly. I am completely disgusted that a $65 dollar item doesn't have any individual replacement parts, and basically that money is down the tubes because the company will not replace it after ninety days. It broke right after the 90 day period, and it took me about a week or two to call in to customer service. Even if I called right away it wouldn't have been replaced or mattered. Instead my husband has to try to find a bungee cord long enough to fix it himself. The biggest waste of $65 dollars and worst customer service policy I have ever seen!

I read the reviews prior to buying... yes, tricky to put together so I planned for it but , let's face it, some things are! Yes, our cord wore out, after 8 months of CONSTANT use. I don't see how it couldn't unless it was a steel cable! [...] I was worried my kids would fight about taking turns and I'd be constantly policing it. For the most part, they are pretty good. When we have friends over, they have more trouble sharing since it is newer for them.

My son really enjoyed this trampoline until the bungee cord started disintegrating less than a year after we purchased it. We have tried to locate a replacement bungee cord, but have not been able to find one with the necessary hooks to securely attach it. We contacted Lilian Vernon customer service, but since we had purchased the product more than 90 days ago, they would not replace it and were unable to help us find a replacement bungee cord. The service rep even told me other customers had the same problem with this toy, but there was nothing they could do about it! This toy does not last and is NOT weather resistant, so save your money. There are other mini-trampolines at amazon.com and toysrus.com that may be more sturdy. We are going to have to throw ours in the trash.

EVEN IF YOU OFFER TO PAY, THEY WON'T SELL YOU A REPLACEMENT BUNGEE.So if you want to pay [$] for 3 months of entertainment, go ahead. But be prepared to toss it after that.

My husband and I first saw this product at a little kids indoor gym and thought it was wonderful. We bought it PRIMARILY for indoor use. I'm not sure if this makes a difference but we haven't had any trouble with the bungee or warping. It's absolutely perfect for the playroom, not too big and offers loads of fun for our little girl (2yrs). Our only disappoinment was when we found out it was made in China (failed to research it more before buying, so it was our fault!). Otherwise we're thrilled with it.

The trampoline is lots of fun for young children. It's a great indoor gross motor activity for my classroom.
It was very difficult to put together, though! It required myself, my husband, AND our son all pulling and stretching the bungee cord to get it together. The diagram is very small and hard to see, and you have to follow the lacing diagram EXACTLY, as the pattern changes on each side. If not laced correctly, the frame warps and the legs will not all touch the ground.

We feel it is safer than the larger trampolines and like that it is light enough to move inside on rainy/cold days and outside for nice ones. We have very high energy kids and this seems to be the perfect thing for them to play on! We almost purchased a triangular shaped mini-trampoline, but am glad we didn't as this one has a much larger jumping area and is weather resistant. No more jumping on the couch and beds...

Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

Our grandson needs to use trampoline to exert equal pressure on both legs. He used one of these at PT. Now having one of his own, he will get daily exercise of that right leg. He and his brother love it. It is safe, easy to assemble. Please use parent supervision with this toy.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

Finishing assembly was tricky; my husband had to hold one end of the cord while I stretched the other end to meet the hook. Looking at it now, it isn't square and I'm wondering if the sides were labeled correctly. One leg does not meet the ground and when my 4 or 6 year olds (neither of whom is anywhere near 75 lbs) jump on it, the whole thing rocks and bounces off the ground on one side.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

I've been looking for a safe, small trampoline for my daughter for awhile. This one seems to be the one. So far it has proven to be safe (but we had a chat about using it first and safety rules that needed to be followed) and tons of fun. My only complaint came during assembly. Lacing the middle part and getting it centered up was difficult for me. I thought I had decent arm strength, but lacing and centering took me WAY longer than I would have thought necessary.

All 3 of our girls love this trampoline! It's fabulous for burning off some of that "wish-we-could-bottle-it" energy! I do wish there were a way to secure the back legs to the ground, as it does lift when they jump hard. All in all, this is a great product!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

After my son used a similar trampoline during occupational therapy, I knew I had to find one! This is a great thing to have at home and both of my children LOVE it. My son was dismissed from OT, but he still needs to get some energy out and get some feedback to his joints and this is the perfect tool. It is in our livingroom and both kids go to it when they know they need it. It is great. My sister got one for her kids after they had used ours and I ordered one for my nieces that were premature and have minor developmental delays. It is a wonderful outlet for ANY child! Teach your children to use it safely and you'll be very pleased with this trampolene!

The trampoline was fine until my 3 year old niece really started jumping on it. As she was jumping, the back of the trampoline was coming off the ground. This isn't safe and I worry that if she is jumping when nobody is watching, she may fall forward and hurt herself.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

My special needs son loves to hop on his knees which caused us concern. He is now able to hold the handle and hop on his feet stretching those tight Cerebral Palsy muscles in his legs. My older children are too big to jump with out damaging the unit. So I would recommend purchasing this for the use of only younger children.

Can't live without it!
By Kate from Eden Prairie, MN on 7/8/2007
Pros:
Entertaining, Fitness, Fun, Interactive
Cons:
Bungee cord broke
Best Uses:
Children
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

Even in Minnesota where it snows half the year, my kids get exercise on it every day. They can blow off steam and love jumping to music. A must for people with small children who need to keep kids active year round. One fault, we wore out the bungee cord and can't find a replacement with the appropriate hooks. The bar and jump pad are like new and it's wasteful to throw them away, but may be left no choice! Hours of fun!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

This was the prefect product for my three year old that had trouble learning to jump. Now everytime someone comes to the house he runs over to show off how well he can jump. My one year old walks up to it and starts jumping on it too. I like it because the jumping area is bigger than some of the other trampolines I have seen. I was so glad that a friend introduced us to this trampoline. I was looking at comparible trampolines for double the price......literally.

My 3y/o son was ready to jump on this the second it was put together. We got it last September for his birthday. He has sensory needs and is autistic and this really stimulates him! He LOVES it. And, my almost 5y/o daughter loves it too and so do ALL the kids that come over. I'm a little afraid of some of the bigger kids getting on it and breaking it, but it has held strong so far! I couldn't have asked for a better mini tampoline!

Pros:
Can Withstand Use, Entertaining, Fun
Best Uses:

Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Trampoline with Handles:

My son who's nearly 10 has ADHD. When he gets home from school, he jumps on the mini trampoline to burn off energy before homework. In between the homework assignments for the different school subjects, he takes a few minutes to jump on the mini trampoline, which breaks up the homework monotomy. Since the trampoline has a handle, my 2 1/2 year old toddler can also use it safely. This is a great product. You need to know, though, that it's not collapsible. I love this product. I think it's a terrific investment at [$]. After the first week, I felt I had already gotten my [$] worth.
