Every beachgoer who uses an sun umbrella while at the beach should have one of these. This gaget prevents umbrellas from flying away when a strong breeze or a good win blows. For anyone who has ever chased a blowing, tumbling umbrella down a crowded beach, terrified that someone would be hurt, you can relax once you get this device. Simply screw it into the sand (this gets tough the further into the sand it gets), insert the umbrella, and relax. What a great invention!!!

Once it's in the sand, it needs a little water around the base. Then sand dries and hardens around the corkscrew making it much more sturdy than in dry sand. I have lost my umbrella a few times when I haven't done this.

The Sand Grabber does exactly what it says it does. I wish I had known about this product years ago. I spent a beautiful day on the beach but had to chase my umbrella all day. I noticed that several people on the beach had the Sand Grabber and their umbrellas were not moving. I was delighted when I found it on Lillian Vernon website.

The graber is good but does not fit most beach umbrella. The diameter of the hold is too small for a standard beach umbrella. I fit my smaller one in and it works well on a windy beach.

We have been using sand grabbers at the beach for years, and wouldn't make a trip without one! They stand up to almost any wind, as long as you've screwed it in all the way. Highly recommend this product!!!!

I am really happy with this product! There have been several incidents when my beach umbrella lifted out of the sand and attacted other unsuspecting beachgoers! Fortunately, no one was hurt, but it was very embarrassing and annoying to the affected parties. Anyway, I purchased the sand grabber and it held my umbrella securely in the sand on a fairly breezy day at the beach.

It set up in 2 minutes. It worked just as advertised! It held the umbrella firmly in 25 mph winds. Very well designed. All devices should work this well and do what it was advertised to do. An exceptional product. It exceded my expectations.
