Doesn't work as stated
By BmoremomVerified Reviewer from Baltimore on 9/4/2010
Cons:
Offers Little Protection, Poor Design, Ties are useless, Velcro doesn't work
Describe Yourself:
Midrange Shopper
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

These seem durable (i.e. the plastic is thick enough) to protect chairs, but they will not stay in place. The velcro provided isn't enough to hold them down and the plastic ties do not stay tied. It is a poor design.

I'm perfectly happy with the chair cover
By CoverGirl from Chandler, AZ on 1/9/2010

Pros:
Attractive Design, Durable, Easy To Use
Describe Yourself:
High-end Shopper
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

I initially covered the dining room chairs and like the covers so well I bought more for the kichen chairs, too. I did end up purchasing some double sided velcro of my own but that was not a problem for me. The velcro provided is a little weak. I think the covers are very durable and that's what you want when you think about things spilling or leaking through onto your expensive chairs. I've read the other reviews of customers that were less happy but give them a try. They look good and for the cost your saving your furniture. Depending on your style of chair you may need to be creative on how you apply the cover. I have two totally different style of chairs that I worked with so I know this to be the case. One does not have an open back as the one shown in the picture here. I still covered the chair fully, seat and back. They have already saved my chairs from spillage and from my kitty who no longer lays on the chairs because she doesn't like the cover. Sorry for the lengthy review. It's all positive.

Great Idea, Bad Product
By Mom from Jax FL on 12/28/2007
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

Could be a great product. Slips on chairs. Hard to tie and ties rip and tear off. Velcro doesn't work. I bought this product twice. No value for the money. Wish it was, it is needed.

Not as described
By Disappointed from Long Island, New York on 12/19/2007
Cons:
Unattractive Design
Describe Yourself:
Practical
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

Wish I read the reviews before purchasing! I agree these are terrible and cheaply made! What a waste of time and money returning. Stay VERY wrinkled and the mechanism (if you could even call it that) to wrap around the back of the chair is useless! [...]

Horrible
By Mom of 2Verified Reviewer from WA on 11/7/2007
Cons:
Flimsy, Looks cheap, Poor design, Unattractive Design, Won't sit flat
Describe Yourself:
High-End Shopper, Stylish
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

I would give this 0 stars if I could. Do not waste your money. You'd be better off wrapping your chair in plastic wrap! Not that I would do that, but it would be more attrative than this item. The picture does not accuratly portray this item. Can't believe people are giving good reviews, are they for real?

Seat Savers
By MamaWatsonVerified Purchaser from Anthem, AZ on 10/28/2007
Pros:
Durable, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Very Protective
Cons:
Unattractive Design
Best Uses:
On Chairs
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

This seat cover has worked perfectly to save our upolstered kitchen chairs. We have been using a kitchen towel on our 2 year old's chair for about a year and finally ordered a two pack of these covers. I wish I would have ordered more to use during birthday parties and play dates when other little ones are sitting at the table!

Cons:

Waste of money
By Busy MomVerified Purchaser from San Pedro,CA on 10/18/2007
Cons:
Flimsy, tears at the tie area
Describe Yourself:
Practical
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

They tore at the junction of the tie strap to the cover at the first use. I have two boys (3 year old and 6 year old)and it didn't make it through the first dinner in one piece. It's a great idea but poor design. The velcro dots don't work and the ties should be longer.

poor quality
By Mom of threeVerified Purchaser from Bowling Green, KY on 10/2/2007
Pros:
Attractive Design, Very Protective
Cons:
Does not stay in place, Not Enough Storage
Describe Yourself:
Bargain Hunter, Practical
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

This product does not stay in place to protect the whole chair. Maybe it was not designed for my chair style. The velcro tabs do not stick to the chair itself as well. And the ties in the back keep on ripping.

I would certainly recommend!
By Susan in ArizonaVerified Purchaser from Phoenix/Glendale on 9/10/2007
Pros:
Attractive Design, Durable, Easy to Use, Very Protective
Best Uses:
Protect Valuables
Describe Yourself:
Bargain Hunter, Practical, Stylish
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

These chair protectors are great! Very easy to attach to chair. Very heavy duty, thick design. Even my kittens won't get on the chairs to claw them anymore! I don't have to worry about rips or spills. AND, you can still see the chair underneath. If you value your seats, these are very practical and inexpensive. I love mine.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

I bought these chair covers for my mom's house because, she now has 3 grandchildren and just had her chairs recovered. They seem to do the job, but its' kind of a pain that you have to cut them to fit the chairs better...

good idea, but you get what you pay for
By ezVerified Purchaser from Minnesota on 8/20/2007
Pros:
Very Protective
Cons:
Doesn't work on arm chair, Hard to tie straps, Slips up and off, Unattractive Design
Best Uses:
Protect dining chairs
Describe Yourself:
Practical
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

One strap was defective and did not split apart to tie, and the splitting itself was pretty difficult -- wouldn't want to try it with poor eyesight or arthritis

They are not very attractive, but it keeps the cat hair off the cushions and therefore off my clothes.

Not a good buy
By NanVerified Purchaser from Maryland on 8/16/2007
Cons:
Doesn't fit chairs, Felt pads don't stick, Hard to pull apart, Plastic ties break, Price is too high, Too much money, Unattractive Design
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

The price is too high for the product. [$] for each piece of plastic. I thought the product would be better. The felt pads given to secure the plactic under the chair didn't work so I stapled the plastic to the underneath of the chair. The plastic ties were hard to pull apart from eachother and then they broke. The plastic did not fit around the chair correctly. I believe it was a waste of [$] for 4 sheets of plastic. Do not buy!!!!!

I am A mom of 4 boys ageing from 11-4 So i was hopeing these would save the day. The ties break off easily and the sticky/velcro dotts are a joke. I've gone through several sets.I would pay more for something I didnt have to replace every 3 months. i STILL LOVE THIS SITE AND FIND PLEANTY OF GOOD BUYS HERE.

They do what they're supposed to do.
By JanVerified Purchaser from NYC Metro Area on 7/15/2007
Pros:
Lightweight, Very Protective
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

The ties are useless - wide and too short to tie to each other & have any hope of staying tied. The self-stick dots don't stay stuck. However, the protectors are large enough to cover fabric dining room chairs on all sides. And they work perfectly for what I wanted them to - to protect rarely used ivory-colored covers on my chairs from the dust and grime of NYC air.

Lightweight, protects, Very Protective
Cons:
ties&stickydots dont last
Best Uses:
better than nothing, Protect Valuables
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

I bought these to protect our chairs from our toddlers. They were great for a few months, but the straps all tore off over time, and the adhesive/velcro dots didnt last very long either; also they collected dirt on the sticky stuff and look lousy. The corners never stay down and the ties dont hold anymore, but for the price I'll probaby buy another set until my kids can keep their food on the table!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

These will provide great protection from my baby to the white upholstered chairs I bought when I was single, as we are using a booster seat instead of a high chair. Simple and easy solution. I can't speak to their durability yet as I've only had them a few weeks.

Pros:
Easy to clean, Nonstick
Cons:
Hard to tie straps
Best Uses:
Dorm Rooms, Elaborate Meals, Large Kitchens, Simple Meals, Small Kitchens

Comments about Lillian Vernon Chair Protectors:

Straps are to be tied, but the vinyl doesn't really tie very easily or well. It would be much better if they also had velcro on the straps.
