The letters are iron on!
By Disappointed Momma from Easley, SC on 4/4/2009
Gift:
No
Pros:
Cute
Cons:
Cheap looking, Difficult To Carry, Flimsy
Best Uses:
Only for pictures
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

I bought two of these and am disappointed. The letters are iron on. I could have gone and bought those myself. And the most important thing about having an Easter basket is going on an egg hunt. Well, these baskets have a handle that moves, therefore all the eggs fall out! This basket is only good for pictures. Also, the colors in the liners do NOT match the baskets. The pink gingham does not even match the other pink material in the liner. And the paint is coming off of the basket. You get what you pay for.

A little disappointing

Cons:
Difficult To Carry
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

I bought this basket for my daughter's first Easter. I am very pleased w/the look of the basket. The only con is the way the handle folds down. I love it for the Easter Bunny visits and storing, but for egg hunting, it gets a big thumbs down. My daughter has problems w/all of the eggs dumping out if it gets weighted down on one side. I had to buy her something different for egg hunting purposes. I have a new baby this Easter, and I am going to look for something different for her. I will say that you can't beat the price!

I have two of these baskets for my boys. I love them, because it makes Easter more meaningful to them. They have a special basket of their own that they can use for years to come. I would highly recommend this product to all my mommy friends, to grandparents...

My 3 yr old loves his basket, he gets excited to see it every year now. I'm sure our now 5 month old will get into the family tradition as well. :)

Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

This basket is great, I ordered the purple pink combo, the online picture doesnt do it justice, it's so pretty!! I love that the liner is detachable and I'm able to wash it if needed. It is bigger than it looks, It's a good size for my toddler and will last her for a long time, assuming it holds up, it seems like it will. The only thing that could be a plus or a minus is that the handle is not stiff like most, it folds down, which will be good for storage but I can see it being annoying to my toddler when trying to pick up while egg hunting.
The personalization was perfect, it's a soft velvet type lettering.
I used to work at L&V so I know the process it takes to make and ship these, so I know the price is absolutely unbeatable!!! Search for a better price on a personalized basket with liner, I bet you wont find a better price!!

Service & Delivery comments:

The online order status gave two weeks which I thought was quite long considering I live in the same area as the warehouse but of course it came within a week of ordering so that was a nice suprise. Only thing I would like to see is a shipping confrimation and maybe a way to track it if needed, we have had a few lost packages and it's really a hassle when you cant track it down.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

I bought the purple and pink combo basket for my daughter and the blue and green combo basket for my son last year (2008). They are PERFECT!! I LOVE that they have their names on the cloth. The cloths are tight at first, but once they are in the basket, you're all set for the "Easter Bunny" visit! This year (2009) my daughter will have a Littlest Pet Shop themed basket and my son will have a Wonder Pets themed basket.

I see many complaints in other reviews, but I think this basket is a great buy. Its nice quality and the iron-on lettering doesn't look cheap at all. Liner fits great in the basket and the ties make nice bows. Definitely worth the purchase!

cute basket
By wtmack[@] from King of Prussia, Pa on 4/5/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Bright
Cons:
Handle folds
Best Uses:
Easter
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

Adorable basket. I only purchased it this Easter but it is really cute. My only gripe is the handle. It folds and it's hard to get it to stand up for decorating. I tied the ribbons to make it stand up but when my daughter went to carry it, the basket tilted and all her candy fell out. I'll probably hot glue it for next year. Otherwise it's cute.

What do you expect for [$]. I think they are great. I got them for my son and daughter. This is the 3rd year we've used them. The kids only get them for photos and for Easter day and then they are put away. We've gotten compliments every year! The personalization is an iron-on, but it works for the years I need it to. I have great memories of using the same Easter basket year after year, and now so will my kids.

Great Bang for your Buck
By CatherineVerified Reviewer from Madison, WI on 3/21/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Bright, Durable
Cons:
Folding handle
Describe Yourself:
Bargain Hunter, Practical
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

When you compare these to some other "high end" baskets, you get a great bang for your buck. Yes, the letters are "iron on' but my kids have used theirs for 3 years and never ever have they come close to pealing off. It is an great looking basket. My only complaint is the folding handle because I think it would look better up...but for storage this is a plus. I would recommend them to anyone. I just posted a link on my message board so people could order them!

very cheaply made

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

I cannot get the handle to stay up right. The paint is peeling off and I just received it today. The liner doesnt fit properly. I ordered the purple one. The purple on the basket doe not match the purple on the liner. I am so disappointed. This was for my baby's first Easter. I guess you get what you pay for.

Didn't read the reviews
By Mommy of 2Verified Reviewer from Southwest on 3/20/2008
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

I usually read the reviews and did not this time. Everything I have ever received from Lillian Vernon has been embroidered. I expected this to be as well. The stick on letters look cheap and like I added it myself (they sell them at Hobby Lobby). The Handle will not stay up it just flops down. None of these things are mentioned in the ad. I heard from one the telephone operators at Lillian Vernon they they are filling for bankrupcy. Is this cheap looking product a sign of times to come?

Dissapointment Waiting to Happen
By Dissapointed first time mom from Louisiana on 3/18/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Bright
Describe Yourself:
Practical, Stylish
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

This is a cute basket and the iron on letters do not even bother me. What does bother me is that the handle will NOT stay up. It just falls down. I like that it folds down, but I wanted it to only fold down for storage. The handle does not stand up on its own. It is very dissapointing when you are excited about something and then it does not work like you thought. It is cute but who wants an Easter basket that does not have a handle that stands up. It just falls down!!

A bit disappointed
By 24hour Mom from Keller, TX on 3/17/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design
Cons:
Cheap lettering
Describe Yourself:
Practical

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

Baskets and liners are cute, but the letters look cheap and are a bit small. Photo on the site is deceiving- lettering looks stitched. Description should say that personalization letters are decals and give the size of the letters. Still, will use for this year at Easter, but not every year as I had planned.

Cute baskets!
By Happy customerVerified Reviewer from Oxford, PA on 3/15/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Bright, Great Price
Best Uses:
Easter
Describe Yourself:
Practical, Stylish
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

I don't understand the previous reviewer's problems with the size & folding handles. BOTH are stated right in the product description. I ordered 2 baskets and think they're adorable! The personalization is not embroidery, but why pay double or triple for that when the baskets are used once a year. I wouldn't call the letters "stickers" either, as that implies they'll peel off. The letters seem quite durable to me (I even tried picking at them, and they didn't budge!). I like the folding handles, as we have limited storage space.

stick on letters
By ashleyVerified Reviewer from GA on 3/14/2008
Pros:
Price, Size
Cons:
Lettering

Comments about Lillian Vernon Personalized Easter Baskets:

I like the basket and liner. Both are very pretty and what I expected. However, I wish I had read the other reviews before buying this basket. The stick on letters make the basket look cheap. Embroidery would be much more appropriate for the look of the basket.

I ordered this 3 years ago for my son and I have a new daughter and am ordering one for her now and am so glad that they are still available! This is a great item for the price. Ones like it with embroidered monograms are over half the price other places. I'm willing to sacrifice the emroidered letters for the stick on ones for the money savings...so far my sons has really held up very well! Would definitely recommend. :)
