Nice idea but lacked the quality. We purchased this last year hoping for it to last for years to come. The ornaments have a gold edging around them that is "glued on" it was hit and miss with the glue and flimsy cardboard with fraying fabric for the ornaments. The numbers are stiched in gold thread that was poorly done as well. I would recommend buying one that is more expensive if you want it to last for generations.

This sounds like a great calendar for a pretty good price but it isn't! It is worth spending more money at another store because this calendar is very poor quality. It doesn't even stay up when you hang it up. It just folds in because there isn't any support at the top. The ornaments are also very poorly made. I am extremely disappointed and would just like to return this piece of junk!

My kids love putting the ornaments on. I think it is fun and cute. My only complaint is that the ornaments aren't put together very well. I had to glue some of the pieces on better.

The ornaments were falling apart when I took it out of the bag. Mine was missing a ball, so we had to hang two ornaments on one. I plan to try and find some things to fix it with, since it is a really cute calendar. It's very hard for my kids to hang the ornaments on though, they fall off easily. Some of the stitching on the embroidery was already coming undone as well. This could be a really great product with a few minor improvements.

This is a really pretty advent calendar and the ornaments are really cute. I haven't had any problem with ornaments falling apart yet, but I was disappointed that many of the beads are so close together that some ornaments overlap, and the beads leave little room to hang the ornaments on. If you bump the calendar or the already-hanging ornaments, they fall off. Beautiful idea, but should be redesigned for better durability, especially with small parts being used around children.

The trim on most of the ornaments is falling off. The ornaments do not stay on the tree. Very flimsy -- needs dowel rods or something to enable it to hang smoothly like in the photo. i was very disappointed.

this item was exactly what i was looking for in an advent calendar. It has been great fun for my 2 1/2 yr old. I bought it even after reading the negative comments. It is exactly what I expected for the price. The ornaments do look cheaply made, but no better than i could have done myself. And with other calendars averaging $40 or more this one was worth it!! As long as you understand you are not getting a high end item

This is beautiful and I bought one for myself and my sister-in-law. We both love it. The ornaments do come off of the balls easily, but as long as you don't bump it, they'll stay on. My other complaint is that the top should have a dowel through it. It doesn't hang smoothly- it kind of hangs with an arc shape. I'll probably just add a dowel. Like others have said, it really is very nice for the price.

This calendar is beautifully embroidered with our family name and the quality is quite nice. My only complaints are that the beads on the tree are on so tight that the little ornaments fall off very easily, and that the ornaments are very delicate. The gold thread trim on a couple of them is detaching already, and I fear I'll be making a few more repairs before the season is over. I would still recommend it, although probably not for very young children.

Arrived w/ a missing ball (these are what you use to hang the ornaments on). Some of the ornaments were missing trim or it was falling off. Ornaments easily fall off...I bought some self-adhesive Velcro & placed a small piece of the "hook" side on the back of each ornament. This helped the ornaments to stick better to the felt-like calander.
I do like this calander & my little one enjoys it. It could be better, but only cost me a couple of extra bucks for the Velcro.

The ornaments are made poorly. Don't hang this on a door because the ornaments will fall off. It looks SO pretty in the picture and the calendar isn't too bad, it's just how the ornaments were made and how they hang on the calendar itself. Terrible. I wish I could return it!

This is a great looking advent calendar. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is that the ornaments don't stay on the tree. It frustrates my 2 1/2 year old son. He tries to put on an ornament but has difficulty and it won't stay and then he ends up knocking off some of the others. Some of the ornaments were coming apart but like someone else said, "nothing a little glue couldn't fix."

I was a bit hesitant to buy this after reading some of the reviews. But I LOVE THIS!!!!It is very cute, and I know my kids are going to love it too! Some of the ornaments are falling apart a little, but nothing a little glue can't fix! Other personalized calendars offered on other websites are at least double the price of this one! I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

I love the idea of the advent calendar...my kids adore it. The only problem is in the not so great quality. Some of the ornaments were falling apart when I opened it up for the first time and it doesn't hang that well. All can be fixed with a little hot glue and some handiwork!

I bought this item several years ago (3 maybe) and am glad to see it still here! My mother is German and this was a Wonderful Tradition. Each year an individually wrapped 'goodie' was in each pocket (so needs a little bigger pocket). My kids love it and they take turns adding an ornament (had several extras) and picking out a chocolate! I store mine in the same bag I received it in - yes it was folded but eventually became flat! WE love it!

I am very disappointed in this product. The calendar is very poorly put together. One of the balls that hang the ornaments is missing, and the stitching for the numbers is not all there. I expected better quality.

This is a cute decoration and I know it will become a fun tradition for my son. My only complaints are that a few of the little ornaments were not glued well and that it was folded for shipping and is now hard to hang flat.

I have been looking for one of these for quite a while. I was very disappointed when mine arrived. The ornaments are all falling apart, glue is still sticky on the ornaments, and the "reinforced" area at the top of the calendar was bent. Wonderful design idea, just poor craftmanship. Based on the condition of my calendar when it arrived, I would have to say that the price is not worth the quality of the product received.

The ornaments looked they were glued together by my four year old, I was disapointed in the quality of them since i have always been impressed with previous purchases. This is a great advent calendar considering others sell for 2 to 3 times this amount. The calendar itself is constructed well. My only complaint is the ornaments are poor quality. About 20 of them are acceptable and about 4 of them are horrible (seriously looks like a young child put them together). Each ornament is unique so some designs are better than others.

I purchased several of these for friends and family. My family has used the advent calender for 19 years. We put a small piece of candy in the date slot for each child along with the ornament. They can't wait to take their turn adding the ornament and sharing the candy. It is the first and most favored part of our decorations for our children, so I wanted to share this tradition with our family and friends with small/growing families of their own.

I LOVE THIS! Growing up my family had an advant calendar just like this. It was one that my mother had as a child. Through many moves it was lost/misplaced. Now that I'm a mom, I really wanted my kids to have the same fun memories that I had counting down the days to Christmas. This product is so cute, and nicely made.
