very attractive, different from normal holiday cards. Good price. [...] Alot of work to put together, pretty thin paper, ripped and wrinkled easily.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Happy Holidays - Photo Card:

These were very cute for the price. Most ribbon embellished cards are much more expensive. However, they are extremely labor intensive. If you only have 20 or so cards to do, it wouldn't be so bad. I purchased over 100 cards, and it took me several nights to completely assemble them. If you have older kids (age 8+) this would probably be a fun family activity, but I have an infant, and this was a lot of extra work for me! That being said, they are really cute, and I did get a lot of comments about how cute they were.

Not worth the effort and price

Comments about Lillian Vernon Happy Holidays - Photo Card:

Just like a lot of others have stated, there is a lot of assembly required. The cards themselves are rather flimsy, so as you're trying to thread the ribbon through the holes, it's rather easy to tear. Also, the ribbons will fray at the ends if you're not careful. You will DEFINITELY need to buy some double-sided tape because the little 3M sticky dots they provide to attach the photos is not up to par. There are no instructions on how to assemble the cards, and while I am rather crafty, I was stumped for a few minutes. You'll need to thread the ribbon in one hole and loop it around the second hole and then back through the first hole. It almost seems like it won't fit and this is how the ribbon becomes easily frayed.I would say to buy this product only if you have a lot of time on your hands. I only had to assemble 13 cards and it took me well over an hour. If you are sending 20 or more cards...this will probably take you most of the day to complete unless you're not easily bored.I realize it doesn't take a rocket scientist, but for the money these are not worth it at all.[...]

Comments about Lillian Vernon Happy Holidays - Photo Card:

For the price of these cards I would have thought that there would be less assembly needed, as well as a better method of adhereing the photo as well as the small not card to the paper. Felt that the cards were going to fall apart before I got them into an envelope. Won't buy these again next year!

The card looks good and for the price I think the quality is not bad. It is so much work to put these things together......if you are one with little time I do not recommend....I actually had to get my husband involved because it was taking to long.

This card looked great on-line. There was no mention that you needed to assemble the ribbon yourself. It would have been nice if the directions were included. I had to go back to the website to figure out how to attatch the ribbon to the card.

I really like these cards.I was surprised that I had to assemble the ribbon and inside card. There were no directions include, which would have been helpful. I ruined a couple cards trying to get the ribbon on.I also didn't now what the blocks and dots were for until I went back online and looked at the cards again.

Took forever to get here, and once I got them personalization was wrong. Not the best quality, but I guess you get what you pay for. Will take forever to put together, should have just bought nicer cards.

NOT as good as the picture!
By Emily from Mesa, AZ on 12/4/2007

Comments about Lillian Vernon Happy Holidays - Photo Card:

I thought these were going to be the "PERFECT" christmas card but you have to assemble the whole thing which is fine but I have a 1 and 2 year old so it was a task. My biggest complaints are the red trim on the end of the card or should I say pink! There was nothing red about it, and the flimsiness of the card itself. Great value for the money but you definitely get what you pay for which is not much!

Horrible!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Happy Holidays - Photo Card:

I should have taken the other poor reviews more seriously. Don't waste your time and money - these cards aren't worth it. You'd be better off going to an office supply store and printing your own. Assembly is a pain, my small personalized cards were tossed into the box and were scattered all around. BIG MISTAKE - heed the warnings - don't buy these!

Service & Delivery comments:

Delivery took longer than stated. Small personalized cards were just tossed carelessly in the box. Customer service was useless - and each person I spoke with said something different from the last. I won't be shopping here again.

Wouldn't buy them again...
By SPVerified Reviewer from PA on 11/28/2007
Pros:
Attractive Design
Cons:
ALL Assembly Required
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Happy Holidays - Photo Card:

Okay, Assembly I can understand... but you have to completely put this card together... everything! When you send as many cards as we do then you realize the benefits of buying cards already put together. I don't like having to put the entire card together.(ribbon, sticky for pic, sticky for personalized card and then attach personalized card)

Not the Best Quality
By DesignChicVerified Reviewer from Texas on 11/27/2007
Cons:
Font not Heavy or Fancy, Nothing Sparkling, Poor Color Saturation, poor quality
Best Uses:
Greeting Card
Describe Yourself:
High-End Shopper, Look for Good Value, Stylish
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Happy Holidays - Photo Card:

Its an "ok" card to send out. I was shocked that you have to assemble the entire card yourself (ribbon too). There is only enough ribbon and adhesive and for each card (none extra if you mess up or need more sticking power). The grosgrain ribbon is pretty but there is nothing shiny on the card and the red color/font is just "blah" - it should be bolder and brighter. I will add some "sparkle" to it myself.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Happy Holidays - Photo Card:

I wanted a more original Christmas Card than the photo cards you order or the boxed cards fromt he stores. I also wanted an alternative to writing the same greeting in 50 cards. I have a 2 year old and don't have free time anymore. I love love love these cards! I am able to personalize them and they look so professional. The price was just right too.The only complaints that I had were not enough personlization room and I had to attacht the bow on the cards. Even with that I will contimue to buy my cards here.

Service & Delivery comments:

My delivery was broken up into two shipments, however I surprised at how quickly they arrived. Within 7 business days I have both my full order in excellent condition.
