I COULD NOT figure out how to turn on the eye! I went back to lillianvernon.com to make sure I didn't read the description wrong. Yep, the eye is supposed to light up. I squeezed this bag all over trying to feel for something and had no luck. Thanks to those who wrote in to squeeze the nose.

THANK YOU to the parents who wrote on how to turn on and off the light (squeeze the nose). My 9 1/2 yr old son loved this, and can't wait to dress up and use it. This is the best treat bag around for the money, by far. One comment, WHERE is the awesome, ghoulish bag for the girls??? My 2 son's got the 2 scary-light up treat bags, and she got stuck with the Cat one!!! Please make scary selections for girls, not all want to be fairy princesses forever! Thanks.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Pirate Trick-or-Treat Basket with Light-Up Eye:

My 5 year old grandson thought it was pretty "cool" and scary looking. Luckily I read a customer comment about how to turn on the light (eye) by pressing the nose. Otherwise there were no instructions on how to make the eye light work.
I bought two of these, worth the prize but I wish the name was stitched instead of iron on.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Pirate Trick-or-Treat Basket with Light-Up Eye:

I bought this for my 2 year old nephew and was really disappointed when it came in. It looked like it was made really cheap - not near as cute as it looks online. I love the spider halloween bags that I bought for my daughter and nieces years before and thought I would buy one for my youngest, my niece and nephew, but I was disappointed in all the new bags that I purchased - I guess I should have ordered more of the spider!

Comments about Lillian Vernon Pirate Trick-or-Treat Basket with Light-Up Eye:

I love this tote, it is original and it has an awesome design which all boys will love. It is definately different. There was only two things I did not like about the tote. First, when I recieved the tote it did not tell me that in order to turn the light off you need to push the guys nose. There was no instructions about that I just had to figure that one out. The other I still think the name should be sewn on rather then iron on because it gives the tote more class. Other then the two complaints I still loved the item and thought it was reasonable priced.
