Of course your daughter is going to want this when she sees it but how do you tell her that it's too expensive for the quality? My daughter wanted this for a Halloween costume. She loves HSM so I couldn't say no. But the dress is really cheesy. The microphone is a pain because all of the glitter fell off all over the house. The barret fell apart too. The earrings and necklace were cheap too. Not a very good value for the price. I have to say though that she has worn this everyday since she got it. She loves it.

This trunk description says High School Musical, yet that is a bit misleading. My daughter is a Sharpay fan and this trunk has mostly Gabriella clothes in it. Microphone glitter chunks off but overall my daughter (age 6) plays with it often.

The quality of the dress is very poor. I was shocked it was a Lillian Vernon product. I couldn't return it after my daughter saw it. She would have been heartbroken.

My little girl loved this dress up trunk. There were some issues as the paying consumer that I had with it. First, the microphone had glitter that did not stay on well, which meant my family and I were wearing glitter until it all came off. Second, the shoes were very small for a 4 year old. Of couse, these problems did not bother my 4 year who still loves to dress up with the costume and play.

I bought this for my granddaughter and let her open the box when it came in. If she hadn't seen it, I would have sent it back but you don't just take a present out of a child's hand and say Grandma wants her money back. If I were you, I'd take it out of my catalog!!

My almost 4 year old loves HSM and was so excited when she got this for an early birthday present. She has been singing and dancing around like crazy! The piece that have glitter are messy. The handheld microphone the glitter will fall right off if it is squeezed or smooshed as all. Overall my daughter is very happy - minus the glitter I'd give it a 5.

The entire costume was very cute. My three year old neice loves it . The microphone was a big glitter mess. The glitter just fell off all over the place. Making it with shiny silver plastic would be much better.

Purchased this recently for my 5 year old. All the glitter from the microphone was all over my floor within minutes of opening it. This is for kids to play with. The company should have tested this product with kids playing with it then they would see how cheap it is. Also the hair bows had a glued on glittery music symbol on them that very quickly fell off. My daughter still enjoys playing dress up with it, but I am very disappointed in the quality of this product.

My daughter absolutely loves all things Gabriella and High School Musical...and the costumes are no exception. I would caution parents, however, on the accessories which are COATED in silver glitter and glue (and not very well) - it is all over our house.. Had I opened the trunk before my daughter I would have thrown the accessories right in the garbage!!

The dress, scholastic decatholon coat, and microphones are adorable, but some of the accessories have too much glitter. The smaller pieces broke easily. Glitter flakes off the hand-held microphone. We are down to only about 5 functional pieces of the whole set. My daughter, however, loves putting on her Gabrielle dress to dance and sing her favorite HSM songs!

My daughter loved this...but was very sad when the pieces bagan falling apart right after she started playing with it. The hair clips have musical notes on them that I had to superglue back on. The microphone is covered in sparkles that fall off in sheets. The slippers aren't slippers, but really fabric pieces. I think the only things I was happy with were the Gabriella red dress and lab coat, and the earphones. [$]
