Comments about Lillian Vernon Mean Team Cheerleader Costume:

Bought this for my daughter who wore it 3 times this Halloween. The main issue is the bad idea of the plastic socks!! Had to substitute with her older bro's soccer socks!! The skirt's waist is not pretty like the picture, it's scratchy and unfinished and the pleats do not stay pleated, but open up wide. Can't fix by ironing them down since it is plastic/vinyl. Glad I paid only [$] but she got a huge kick out of it and liked it fine.

For [$], my daughter had a lot of fun with this. The only weird thing is the socks are plastic. They ripped towards the bottom. Besides that she loved it and it was cheap.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Mean Team Cheerleader Costume:

Bought this for my daughter this season and she's already worn it twice this weekend before Halloween. It does not wear as portrayed or depicted on the photo here... come on, whoever thought of plastic socks with this costume wasn't thinking right. Totally useless part of the costume, nothing good at all from the socks. Also the pleats of this costume will not stay pleated! They open up wide and don't look right. Can't exactly iron vinyl to fix it. Glad it was only [$] otherwise I'd be upset to have spent so much.

Cute, original costume idea. However, we were disappointed in the quality: the boot cover was ripped and the skirt waist was unfinished making it look like a piece was missing. The skirt was very stiff and did not conform to the body nicely.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Mean Team Cheerleader Costume:

The costume was very cute in the book, but when I received it we noticed that the waist is not finished and the leggings/socks do not fit well. We will still use the costume for Halloween, but I will probably think twice about ordering a costume again.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Mean Team Cheerleader Costume:

I think this outfit is really cute. But I do have some tips. I think the plastic socks were a poor design choice, we're going to sub. in soccer socks. If you have an older child try using black nailpolish, black lipstick,
to spruce it up a bit.

Great Costume for Empowered Young People
By QuickBooks InstructorVerified Purchaser from Birmingham, AL on 10/7/2007

Comments about Lillian Vernon Mean Team Cheerleader Costume:

This costume is definately not for your timid girls. The attitude is quite perfectly small but powerful. The design evokes a feel good tidings yet mischief is afoot. The belly area showing is undesirable for the really young child, but shows a defiant charm in a Halloween costume that can be brought out once per year! Bought at full price but see it is on sale at the present. [...] If your child lives in a climate that is bitterly cold during this time of year, I would not suggest it due to exposure of skin. But for those warm hollows eve's - it is just perfect!

Plastic socks not a comfy idea...
By TartbirdVerified Purchaser from CA on 9/24/2007

Best Uses:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Mean Team Cheerleader Costume:

The costume is nice but I just think whomever decided that plastic socks were a good idea is way off base. They will not be comfortable at all for my daughter. Pom, Pom is also a little sparse. But over all it is a cute costume.
