I also ripped the seam open and stuffed in full with poly/cotton filling. Doing so made the horse look more realistic and allowed the horse to stand up without my son hold onto it. This was extremely easy to do. I also pushed the fill down into the legs so they didn't flop around as much. I highly recommend it, but be prepared to fill and you'll be very happy with it. The manufacturer should be making this change in their construction of the pony.

My child loves it, but very disappointing that the whole front end falls down unless he holds it up.

The quality of this costume is actually very good. However, they should have stuffed the front part of the horse b/c when the child steps in, the front part just hangs down. I ended up pulling apart the seam inside the leg area and putting poly-fil stuffing inside..and then sewed back up. Now, it stands up sooo much better. (and I cannot sew anything- so this was very simple).

My daughter loves her costume, because she is a horse funatic. I thought it was okay. The head does not stay up, and the front feet are easy to trip over. With that said, my daughter is really the only judge since I am not playing with it. So it is a winner for her.

Need to keep the head up better, front legs just kind up flop around. It is an adorable costume and Kayla (3 1/2) just loves to wear it around the house.

By looking at the picture, this horse costume looked
perfect, so I ordered it. When it came, the front part of the horse was not stuffed. It was so flimsy that the horse's it drug on the ground along with both of the front feet. In the picture it looks like it has some stuffing in it to hold up the front. I took the seam apart and stuffed it with batting. NOW IT IS AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE IN THE FIRST PLACE. TOO BAD THAT THE DESIGNER/PRODUCTION COULDN'T HAVE THOUGHT OF THIS. AFTER ALTERING THE COSTUME, MY DAUGHTER LOVES HER HORSE AND WANTS TO GET IN DAILY. SHE GALLOPS AND TWIRLS. VERY FUN TO WATCH.

This costume was great. It runs a bit small. My three year old needed the 4-6. Head of horse needs stuffing to keep it up.

Our Grand-daughter turned two and wanted a pony for her birthday. She has called him Sandy and clop clops, and "ee ha's" all over her house. She has already learned how to take her pony off and tries to get into it herself. When not wearing her pony, Sandy, (as she calls him) and our Grand-daughter nap together. Everyone at the party thought this a great gift, including the adults. Thanks Lillian Vernon.

I purchased this for my son who is currently 22months and in the 10th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height and the size 2-4 (smallest available) was definitely too big - I kind of expected this when ordering it. But, it will be great for next year. The description doesn't state if a hat and bandana is provided and as I suspected, it wasn't so buyers have to find these items elsewhere.

I bought this for my daughter last Halloween. The head and front two legs of this costume are in no way supported by the costume itself. I ended up safety pinning the reigns of the horse to the suspenders to keep the head upright, and then as we were trick or treating my daughter started tripping over the two front legs. It was not a fun night.
