We loved the outfit and it was a perfect match with her doll. The hat was a dissapointment. The hat did not flip up like the pictures not did it fit properly.

Overall a very cute costume, but pretty shoddy construction and materials. The "coat" is made from fleece - it didn't wash well at all. The hat (which should be the best part) was awful - wouldn't stay on - there is no band to secure it. This is definitely a disposable costume...

[...]the hat's brim was flat and did not flip up.The coat is made of fleece and is more of a dress- it doesn't open in the front.It runs pretty large so if you have a 3 year old, the smallest size might fit them.

My 3 year old daughter wore this as her Halloween costume, but I imagine it will get a lot of use this year for dress-up time. The dress is made of a soft fleece material and is well made. The hat, while cute, does not look like the one in the photo on the packaging. It is yellow and has a black ribbon, but the brim does not fold up. In fact, it didn't really stay on my daughter's head without hair pins (we poked holes under the ribbon and stuck pins through). She got tons of compliments on how cute she looked and how original the costume was. For the price, this costume was well worth the money! She loves it!

The dress part of the costume is great. However, the hat doesn't have a band to keep it on your child's head. So, I had to cut a slit on either side of the ribbon, and make my own band. Doesn't look the best - but it keeps it on her head now.

My daughter is ready for Halloween in her very original Madeline costume. BUT mom is dissatified with the HAT. It was cut very "shallow" and doesn't stay on anyone's head, big or small. We can not get the brim to flip up like the picture either. And as they say, "the hat makes the outfit". Especially a Madeline outfit.

Love the costume & so does my 4 year old....but the hat was a little off on my opion. On picture looked just like the orginial but when we recieved it the brim was flat & we had trouble getting it to "flip up" like Madeline's. Overall we loved it.
