Terrify guests with this lifelike coffin that looks as if it was just unearthed...and its occupant is trying to escape! Foam, resin and paper has the look of rotting wood, made even creepier with chain and padlock, plus skeleton arms that you can arrange to reach out. Stand up or lay down. 23 x 12 x 59"L.

The velcro did not stay glued and they did not match up on adjoining pieces, Looked great when I finally got it together, and the instructions were worthless

Looks great on-line, but not well made. Coffin is made of styrofoam. The pieces stick together via velcro strips. [...] The coffin doesn't measure up to the base. I bought it for outdoor use, hoping to set up a Halloween Graveyard, but this won't withstand the elements (wind or rain). I plan to use it for Halloween night only. Otherwise, I'm afraid it won't last. Wish it was better made, as it really is nice looking/realistic. I would recommend buying it for indoor use.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Lifesize Creepy Coffin:

Great looking casket. Unfortunatly, made of styrofoam. 1 good gust of wind snapped the lid portion in half. (it's only held on by glued velcro)
I salvaged casket by building a complete caket out of plywood for underneath the styrofoam casket, then used screws, finishing washers to attach to the plywood. Add some black stone flecked spray paint to cover the screws/washers. Once that was done, casket will withstand most anything. I also had to zip tie the arms and chain to prevent them from blowing around.
In the long run, made my graveyard much more realistic, but had to rework it to make it sturdy, and able to be outside.
