The back now has a hole for hanging the birds--very easy to do. However, I placed mine on a fence and didn't realize they weren't weather-resistant and the paint faded over time. If you hang them outside, I would recommend you spray them first with a "weather-resistant" enamel.

I hung the yellow bird on the wall over a nest, made out of a basket. And put the blue bird in the nest. Looks like they are nesting.

The way you hang the parrots, is to drive a nail at an angle up. Then they are very easy to hang. I purchased the parrots the 1st time I saw them in the catalog. I keep looking for more.

We were a little confused at first on how to hang them because there were no open holes on the back to hang them from. My husband used clear silicone to stick them to the fence and he duct taped them for 24 hours until the caulking dried. He removed the duct tape the next day..and voila' they look beautiful!..I am extremely happy with this purchase.

These birds are beautiful. They are also made very well. The problem we are having is how do you attach them to a fence? tree? wall? They do not come with instructions or any advice on how to hang them in the backyard on a vinyl fence, or a stucco wall or a tree. There are no openings or hooks on the back of the plaques. PLEASE any suggestions would be appreciated. I want to get them hung up as soon as possible. I LOVE THEM!

I am sure these parrots were supposed to come with something on the back in order to hang them, but they didn't. We had to go out and buy something. They look great on my patio wall.
