A Disappointment
By megahaunt from DC area on 10/30/2007
Cons:
Deteriorates/Rots, Eyes blink too fast
Best Uses:
Indoor use
Describe Yourself:
Supermom
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Giant Crows with Light-Up Eyes:

The crows' eyes flash on and off far too fast to be natural -- think strobe light instead of a blink. There was no way to turn off the flashing feature, so I wound up taking them out of my graveyard, as the effect was not satisfactory. When they got rained on, they were pretty much ruined anyway. They will be given away to whichever of my friends wants them.

These really haven't held up to the weather and they were too large to fit on top of the tombstones I also purchased. I wouldn't purchase again

Dissappointing..
By Kara from Fort Lauderdale, FL on 10/24/2007
Pros:
Attractive Design, Easy to Secure
Cons:
Battery holder flimsy, Difficult Set-up, No tail feathers, Wires horribly tangled
Describe Yourself:
Practical
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Giant Crows with Light-Up Eyes:

I was a little surprised that these crows had no tail feathers. On looking back at the item photo, they don't show them with tail feathers. So don't expect them. I will be hot gluing tail feathers in[...] I was worried about damaging the electronics because they were wrapped around the battery holder edges and it required a lot of force to remove. The 2nd crow was slightly easier to work with.

Poor quality
By AngelaVerified Purchaser from New Orleans, LA on 10/22/2007
Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Giant Crows with Light-Up Eyes:

These crows are cheaply made. First, there are spots that are missing feathers. Second, the left and right eyes do not blink in sync with each other. One of my birds looks more like a caution light. The other bird's eyes are more in sync. It still looks funny, but not as bad. And lastly, these birds are easily damaged. I accidentally dropped one from a height of only 1 foot and the beak broke off. I had to fix it with some glue.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Giant Crows with Light-Up Eyes:

I wanted to use these in a graveyard setting for Halloween. I opened the box and thre were no instructions included as to what size batteried to use, how to install or how to turn the eyes on. I have made various attempts to get the eyes to glow but either I am doing it incorrectly or they are defective. Without directions it's hard to tell which.

Nice design, but the eyes didn't light up on either crow. Now I have to exchange. Disappointed in the quality, but they look good.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Giant Crows with Light-Up Eyes:

The friend I gave these to as a gift loves the crows! They have a [I think] permanant home in her dining room. The eyes lighting up are great and already have her grandchildren in a Halloween mood! But they always are!
I do feel they belong inside or a protected area and will be a spooktacular addition to trick or treating!

Bottom Line:

Comments about Lillian Vernon Giant Crows with Light-Up Eyes:

Great Halloween fun. These crows go nicely with the baby crows. Love the light up eyes; very effective. Both birds show well at night. Creepy! Use indoors or outdoors, where they will be protected by harsh weather conditions. Both crows show well atop a lamp, fireplace, mirror, etc. Halloween should be fun & ghoulish! Throw in some crows to attract the Halloweeners! Big and small alike will enjoy theses crows.
