I used to store cut onions in tin foil or a plastic baggy...this dome is so convenient and it contains the odors really well. I ended up purchasing several more to use as gifts.

I ordered the lettuce keeper and the smaller one for onions/tomatoes. The idea sounded good but only lasted 3 uses before it snapped apart. Also they were too bulky to store.
