I was truly disappointed in these. I've had two sets - I guess I was an optimist, but the paint just chipped off and they fell apart one slat at a time. They are not water resistant at all and fall apart very easily. Not worth the money - I guess they would work well inside with fake plants....

Looks very attractive on my deck. Coordinates with the picket fence in my yard. I have to watch for the little "pickets" that fall off occasionally. I just tack them back on and touch up the nail head with white paint. Guess you can't expect Cadillac workmanship on much anymore.

The picket fence planter looked really great once I put 3 containers of mums in it. The planter was very easy to assemble.

Comments about Lillian Vernon Wooden Picket-Fence Planter:
I was very disappointed in these. I bought them last year and they have just fallen apart over the months I've used them. The paint is peeling and the slats are just falling off. I've even attempted to repaint them, but they just fell apart! Keep in mind these should only be used INSIDE! They do not stand up to any kind of weather, even in protected areas.

For the price of these planters, you would think you are getting a decent quality item. These planters are cheaply make. They cracked during assembly and the pickets are held on by such small nails that they popped off frequently during assembly. They will probably not last more than a season outside.
